A Baltimore area institution. Friendly wait staff, tasty and reasonably priced meals and desserts. This IS the real thing and not a replica. Just like something you see in 50s-60s films. Poor service, Poor Menu ( No mash patatoes in a diner???? That's SAD!!!!) and a overall bad dining expearence!!! Pros: empty Diner, empty parking lot Cons: poor service, small menu, small portions more

Oh that Raisin French Toast!! 1/10/2005

The Bel-Loc is a favorite diner of ours! When we are in the Towson area, we make it a point to have a meal there...we always seem to make it there for breakfast, which is a good thing because the Bel-Loc has the most awesome raisin french toast! Other goodies include SOS and very fresh orange juice! Prices are decent and the Bel-Loc is a breath of fresh air compared to the some of the ""larger"" diners in the area (the locals know who I mean) where breakfast goes up on weekends and holidays:(. I love their mugs of coffee! Pros: Very Tidy, Outstanding service, Good Value Cons: , Can be crowded more

An alternative to Denny's 10/15/2002

Sometimes this place seems sad- lonely people sitting alone in the wee hours of the morning. And sometimes this place has a community feel- everyone knows everyone else and the waitresses join in all the conversations. Sometimes this place seems like it's gone downhill- the servers have bad attitudes and the food is almost inedible. But if you're in the mood for an omlette at 4:00 AM, this place sure beats Denny's. You can even play tunes on the juke box for 25 cents. more

Quick and cheap, that's breakfast served Bel-Loc style. Nothing better than bacon and eggs with their coffee. The waitresses are typically Baltimore. Pros: Fast Service, Inexpensive, Separate Smoking Area Cons: Small Parking Lot more

The real deal Diner 8/7/2002

I have been to many, perhaps too many, diners in my day -I love them! Give me some kitch stainless steel streamline and 50's modern designed interior with a side of an open faced turkey sandwich, with mached potatoes and I am in heaven. The Bel -Loc Diner is the real deal. Are there places that have better food... yes but that is not always why we dine. Experience counts! The menu is a great value and the ladies taking your order are just devine! Whether its after the bar food you looking for or the classic american breakfast -you have come to the right place! more
