Best lentil soup I ever had. They make a pita fresh with your order. The falafel is not crunchy so, I don't order it. Great hummus too. more

The best Lamb pizza, rivals, Moustache in the city. We love Bedouin tent, and, Lorettas next door. more

sooo gooooood -Kossally 10/27/2008

this is by far the best middle eastern fast food I have ever had.\r The pitas are hot and fresh out the oven. The Merguez plate (my favorite dish before I became vegetarian) with its slow cooked Lambe sausage your choice of babaganoush or hummus, lettuce onions and tomato chunks, is an immediate pleaser to all i have reccomended it to. Absolutely delicious ! \r The garlic pitza is also delicious with a little feta salad on top. \r And for the vegetarians out there, the falafel plate is to die for. \r Make sure to ask for a bit of mint mayonnaise with your plates to add a tasty kick to your pita sandwich.\r service is polite, aim to please and are patient with hesitant customers.\r I try to go on special occasssions only so that I dont over do it : ) I luv this place\r \r P.S. best babaganoush in town !!!! Pros: delicious food, not too expensive Cons: low available seating inside on weekends more

Delicious food, nice wait staff, cheap price 9/4/2008

Fantastic place to get lunch. Their pitas are delicious, lamb done just right, not too dry. The hummus is amazing. I bring people that visit from out of town to this place. This place rivals Cobble Hill's Zaytoons, as far as I'm concerned. And you always get such a friendly hello from the guys in the kitchen. more

Typically Low-Priced Mediocre Fare 6/8/2008

After reading mostly rave reviews, went to the Bedouin Tent and tried its commonly praised fare. I ordered the beet salad and Leg of Lamb platter, while companions got Leg of Lamb sandwich, grape leaves, and falafel.\r \r The food was good, but not great. The lamb was tender, but its flavor wasn't anything more than particularly bland - it didn't exude the common plethora of bursting flavor that is usually typical for food from the kitchen of an experienced and dedicated chef. \r \r The service was also very slow, and had to second guess our orders numerous times.\r \r The prices are right, and I suppose that you get what you pay for, but I would really recommend spending your time and money at other local venues like Zaytoons. Pros: Good prices Cons: Mediocre food quality, and slow service. more

Reservations... 2/20/2008

I love the food here but customer service is an important part of my rating. Management was on vacation, and the individual left in charge decided that the restaurant would charge a prix fixe meal for a reservation. For all those that have ever been here, you know that such a thing doesn't exist for this small restaurant. Like all set meals, you are then charged a flat fee per person, but how do you know how the price is determined if it comes from the top of one's head? That to me means I must give Bedouin tent a below average rating. It's unacceptable. Cons: Not good for groups and flexibility. more

Fantastic place for a party (or just a great Middle Eastern dinner) 7/26/2007

We rented Bedouin Tent for a private party (45 people) and had a truly wonderful experience. We had use of the beautiful garden and the air conditioned back room and had an unlimited four course buffet consisting of everything on the menu (salads and dips, pitzas, meats, dessert). We'd eaten there many times before and had our own favorites, but definitely discovered some new ones (the lamb platter, for example)! Our guests absolutely raved about the food (a number of whom had never tried Middle Eastern before); among the favorites: the hummus, grape leaves, pita (they make their own--delicious!), pitzas (my own favorite, the lambajin, though there were some excellent other varieties), the merguez (best I've had anywhere, no exaggeration), and the lamb (delicious!!). The service was fantastic--incredibly friendly and so accommodating, and with the BYOB policy, I don't think there could be a more affordable, more delicious, more friendly place for a large party. If you are looking for a fun place for a party (never easy to find in NYC), or simply great Middle Eastern food in a lovely setting, look no further! I could not be more pleased with our experience at Bedouin Tent and will surely be returning again and again! Pros: Beautiiful garden, can accommodate large groups, excellent food, BYOB more

We order out here once a week at least. 7/19/2007

It is extremely affordable and absolutely delicious. Call in an order and it's at your door in 15 minutes piping hot. The pitzas are all awesome (including, and especially, the Lambajin), and I also recommend getting the zatar bread with hummous or baba. ONE MAJOR CAVEAT: if you live closer to their Hicks Street sister restaurant (The Tutt Cafe), they'll pass the order on to them (same exact menu/prices). The Tutt Cafe is good but not at all as good as Bedouin Tent for some reason. more

mideastern at its best 6/12/2007

This place rulez!!Food is amazing i strongly recommend lambajin (mideastern pizza), also spinach- cheese pie.i accept the fact that their dolmas are dry it tastes like canned dolma.so skip that but everything else is yummy.great waitstaff so friendly people, the garden is so cute in the summer they have aircondition in the back room.My favourite dining in Brooklyn i love Bedouin Tent!!!!!! more

Great hummus! 4/13/2007

My friend and I had dinner there and was immediately greeted by Sam, our waiter. He helped us with our selection and when the food came, we were so glad he did! I had a falafel platter which had a heaping helping of smooth, flavorful hummus, delicious falafel, and a steaming hot pita. My friend had the sun-dried tomato pizza with spicy lamb. While it was a bit oily (might be from the lamb), it was crispy and delicious. We had a crispy and not-too-sweet baklava. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere was intimate. We can't wait to go back and enjoy the food in their back patio garden. Pros: Good food, friendly wait staff more

Best Middle Eastern place!! 9/13/2006

This pleace is GREAT every time! I love eating here. It is staffed by competant people that care about their craft. The food is great and aims high. The backyard garden is lovley. We like this place so much (and have eaten there so often) that we decided to have our wedding anniversary party there, with 25 guests coming from all over the country. The food was GREAT, the waitstaff made the event run beautifully, and the manager made sure that everyone was happy and that the food arrived quickly. The vegetarians were very happy with the menu.\r \r Pros: The food! The service, the manager, the ambiance. Cons: None! more

Best falafel in NY! 11/18/2005

Hands down this place has the best falafel sandwich in NY. Get the sandwich, not the platter as it is a better value for your $$$. The pitzas are outstanding and the baklawa is the best in all of Brooklyn (it makes your eyes roll into the back of your head). The pita bread is made fresh to order & everyone in my household are addicted to it. A must to try--you'll be here often. Bonus: you can bring your own beer! Pros: Delicious food, Made to order pita, BYOB more

delicous middle eastern 6/13/2005

I live in the area and was very surprised by the negative review given to this lovely little restaurant. The lambijin is amazing, as is everything else I've had here. When we have company it's one of our favorites to have for dinner, to share all of the pitzas, hummus, etc. I'm getting hungry just thinking of it! more

Sub Par 10/4/2004

The food I ordered from Bedouin Tent was poor in just about every way ... the dolmas (grape leaves) were dry, the tabouleh was tasteless except for the giant chunks of spring onions, and the leg of lamb had such a pungent gamey odor that I had a hard time eating it. I've never had a middle eastern meal that I didn't want to finish ... this was the first. more

Pristine Pita 2/15/2004

Bedouin Tent is one of the best places to eat in this neighborhood. The service is wonderful, and the food speaks for itself. The falafel sandwich is huge and delicious and the pitzas are amazing. The lentil soup is delicious. They are fast to deliver and very nice people. I thoroughly reccomend this establishment to anyone. Pros: inexpensive, quick, friendly more

great place! 7/1/2002

yesterday i went to moustache pitza & it was far better than we expected. we were led to a back patio area filled with beautiful plants & covered with embroidered tapestries. the staff was very friendly & the service was good. we ordered the dolmas as an appetizer & they were the best ones i've ever had. we were also very happy with our entrees & the rice pudding tasted so fresh & not too sweet. we would definitely go back to this place, the prices are great too. the only negative thing that i could say is that they brought a pita bread on a paper plate & the rice pudding in a plastic container. other than that, everything was wonderful. more
