If you've researched anything about weddings and wedding dresses specifically, you've probably read some warnings about buying your dress at a bridal shop; especially bridesmaids dresses. Since the stores don't operate on repeat business, they're getting away with some appalling things. In my opinion, this store is guilty of the 'alteration' scam. You'll be convinced to buy in the store or ordered a size that's too big. You'll probably get a 'deal'. However, when it comes, it is too big, and you'll be paying (Becky's Bridal) for expensive alterations. Often extensive expensive alterations. And like many bridal shops, even if the size is clearly wrong, you can't return it. Bridesmaids dresses especially -- and they are generically sized and conveyor belt produced. We had a large fiasco with our bridesmaids dresses -- she was given the measurements of all the bridesmaids, and she only used one measurement to order the dresses, and they were all so big that they were beyond altering; they would have had to have been taken apart and sewn back together. Initially, the store owner refused to accept returns, and one of her offers was to have us send her the dresses and she could alter them! Great, that could end up being $100 more for each dress. Your better bet, as counter-intuitive as it sounds, is to go with a (reputable) online bridal shop that will actually let you exchange the dresses if they're the wrong size.
Pros: Owner is very knowledgable about styles and trends.
Cons: Business practice is sketchy at best.
