Bayou Animal Clinic

Ever since moving to Slidell from Chalmette in October 2005 I have been bringing my pets to Bayou animal Clinic. Dr. Garcia communicates clearly, concisely in effectively presenting information to me in terms that I can comprehend. I am very impressed by the entire staff who are very knowledgable. Dr. Garcia and his staff are very gracious and without complaint in making themselves available at anytime for questions and updates from a worried parent. \r \r The superior leadership, communication skills, cheerful disposition and outgoing manner of Dr. Garcia and his able staff make what could be very trying times workable. Best Vet I ever had, Dr. Buddy cares very much for his animals he treats. Always friendly and caring with them. He explains the problem, procedure, medications, and therapy very well. I just recently switched to Bayou from another clinic in Slidell. My friends recommend Bayou hands down & when i told them the first place i was going they begged me to switch. When i brought my cat in she was very sick & had lost over 10 lbs b/c of the overdose of medicine the last clinic was giving her. Dr. Garcia was very nice & even had a calming affect on my cat, she is very loud & angry when other people try to touch her & when he was examining her she was purring! The price differance for her two week thyroid labs is amazing, i was being charged over 200 every two weeks with the other clinic & at Bayou its a flat 98.00, I will never recommend any other vet. My cat's health has gotten so much better in the two weeks i have been bringing her there compaired to the month she was at the other place! more

I have never owned a pet before last year; When I took my puppy to Bayou Animal Clinic, the staff and Dr. Buddy were not only professional but very knowledgeable and helpful to a first time dog owner. While I can understand being upset by such a situation as described on this thread, I have to question anyone who posts an "anonymous post". Also, I have shopped around and Bayou Animal Clinic is very reasonable with their prices and even lower in most cases (note: I only checked the slidell area). I am very pleased with this Doctor and his staff of caring individuals and would highly recommend them. I will add that like all doctors, you need to find someone you can relate to and who you feel comfortable with. I made the mistake of using Bayou Animal clinic because I wanted to get my dog who was giving birth and had a puppy stuck to have the quality help she needed at her most delicate time. We recently moved here and our other vet is located two hours away.\r \r Dr. Eugene (a Buddy but not your friend) Garcia not only over anethetize my dog during a c-section which he took over an hour to start after we arrived as an emergency and no one else was in his clinic but he took thirty to forty minutes to begin delivering the puppies after he made the first incision. All of our puppies were born blue, or dead, and had to be seriously revived by his staff, thanks a million to Rebecca and Jackie.\r \r He also cut one of our puppies heads in three different places and told me that my dog had been shot with a BB gun when there wasn't any BB shots on my dog.
