I have been taking my ""kids"" to Bayou Animal Clinic for many years and have had nothing but good experiences. The staff is very knowledgable and caring! I have boarded my ""kids"" and my ""granddog"" and they were well taken care of ! One of my ""babies"" has some separation anxiety but she always does well with clinic staff. Was very surprised to read negative reviews! I don't recognize the place they went! I would highly recommend this clinic and staff! FIVE STARS11111\r \r B. Robinson Raceland, La more

I have taken my dogs to this vet for a few years because they are affordable and close to my house. I took one of my dogs in for her annual checkup less than two months ago. The vet told me she had a sore on her lip, but there was nothing we really needed to do about it because it was just a sore and would be hard to heal if/when it opened up. I took my dog to another vet to have her teeth cleaned. They took a sample of the sore and it was SKIN CANCER. That vet removed the sore and had to remove a little of her lip to ensure she got all of the spot. Who knows how bad this could have gotten if I had not taken her to another vet. A simple look at cells under the microscope was all that had to be done and Bayou couldn't even do that. \r \r I had read bad reviews on this clinic, but I figured for routine shots and checkups, they would be fine. I was wrong!! I should have listened to the reviews and recommendations of others. I would have given them 0 stars if this website had allowed it! more

Wonderful Vet! 3/19/2012

My family and I have been bringing our pets to Bayou Animal Clinic in Luling for over thirty years. We have never had a bad experience. Dr Coyle and her staff of technicians truly love animals and it shows. They are always friendly and helpful. They treat out pets as we would, with love and gentleness. There are two sides of every story, so take the other reviews with a grain of salt. All dogs yelp when getting shots and toenails clipped. I have never been told that I couldn't come to the back while any procedure was being done. My puppies champ at the bit to get inside when we go to see Dr Coyle. more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE AND CRUEL!!!!! 4/20/2011

I would not give any stars if possible as well. I went there back in 05' with my pit. The cruel thing was my dog never did anything. The doctor (or whatever you want to call her) picked my dog up off the ground using the leash and it started chocking her. When I told her to stop, she said she was trying to show me how cruel she will get, and that once she bites someone I would have to cut her head off. It really ticked me off to where I wanted to hurt her as bad as you do. Sorry to say Bayou Animal Clinic is not there to help, they are there to harm. That is why I now bring my Angel to the Destrehan Animal Clinic. They are so nice, no matter what happens, because they see it as anything can happen. I SECOND NEVER TO BRING ANY ANIMAL TO BAYOU ANIMAL CLINIC ! ! ! ! ! more

They hurt my pet. DO NOT BRING YOUR BELOVED ANIMAL TO THIS VET!!!! 6/29/2007

If I could give them no stars, I would. I took my dog to Bayou Animal Clinic of Luling, Louisiana today and they hurt my dog, They dragged him into the back by his neck becasue he snapped at the technician. We offered to go with him but were told to wait up front which was the first time we were asked to do so. When he was brought back, his nail was cut too short, causing him to bl**d (wouldnt let me type the real word, you know the stuff that comes out of you when you cut yourself, the red stuff). Our dog has never harmed anyone and is always good natured near strangers. We were unable to acompany our dog in his nail clipping and other procedure, but were able to previous visits. The technician was different from the normal one we get, and when we were told we would have to wait in the front, I began to feel uneasy. I herd my dog yelping in the back, she then came and told us that our dog was very agressive. our family was very angry about the way our dog was handled. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Our service was very slow also, we had an apointment for three and weren't taken in until 3:30pm. Cons: hurt our pet, long wait, rude outcome (door was slammed becasue the technician probably didn't like the way we complained) more
