Bay Vista Learning Ctr

Our 3 yr old daughter has been going to this preschool since she was 1 yr. She (& us parents) love this school. Aside from being very reasonably priced, the owners, director and teachers are wonderful. We chose this school based on word of mouth. All the parents we spoke to in their parking lot sang their praises. The curriculum is spot on. The summer program is great ( Friday water slide days!). And the teachers care so much about us. We volunteer a lot and are always encouraged to ask questions, participate, speak up on any concerns. It truly is a welcoming and trusting family oriented preschool. They offer parents night out, plays, bounce house days, onsite for fee programs such as tumbling and dance, and much more. Highly recommend. more

This school is wonderful. I found it by accident when my son was 3. It was the only daycare he ever went to that he didn't cry every day when I dropped him off. He cried the 1st day then never again. I knew something was different about them. He stayed until time for kindergarten. Then when my youngest was ready for daycare I knew without a doubt that Bay Vista Learning Center was the only place I would take her. She is now graduating VPK and I will miss them dearly, as will she. She loves Miss Jodi. They truly care about the kids, you can tell. Ms. Diane just loves them too, she is wonderful. Some of the teachers that were there 6 years ago when my son was there are still there. That's almost unheard of for a preschool/daycare. That tells you something. I highly recommend them to anyone that really wants a loving, nurturing, family environment for their children while they have to be away from them. They were truly a blessing to me and my family and I will never forget them. more

My son has been attending Bay Vista for three years and we've been happy with the experience. Their location is close to several larger employers in Pinellas County, they have convenient hours of operation and are open every weekday except for major holidays. They have tons of activities for the kids. On Halloween they have a Hoe Down with pony rides, games, a petting zoo and other fun. They bring in entertainment through out the year in the form of plays, magic shows etc. In the summer they have water slides and bounce houses a few times a month as well as lots of other activities. Some optional activites they offer are onsite classes in karate, dance or the Tumble Bus for a small monthly fee. The instructors come once a week to work with the kids enrolled in those classes. My son is now in VPK and they have worked with the kids on their alphabet, writing skills, numbers and words. They have done a great job helping to prepare him for kindergarten. We have been very happy with Bay Vista Learning Center and definitely recommend it! more

My son is 3.5 years old and has been going here for a little over a year. I feel like the owner and majority of the staff love teaching kids and caring for them. They have so many fun activities throughout the year; the entire past summer their was an underwater theme and the school was dripping with decorations. Most days there was some sort of themed activity to help the kids learn about creatures in the ocean. The facility is clean and away from busy streets. In response to the other reviewer’s post about her kids getting sick, my son has yet to get sick while attending here but it IS a daycare filled with germy kids who put everything in their mouth…I think a sickness every now and then comes with the territory. The biggest indicator of how great Bay Vista is, is who much my son has learned here and how much he loves it; he can’t wait to tell his teachers stories about things that happen outside of school. And the only ‘con’ I could find was that they don’t have infant care; not a problem for me but I could see it being difficult if you had an infant and a toddler going to different places. Pros: Low staff turnover, clean facility, many activities Cons: No infant care more

Both of my children attended this ""school"" for a period of time...they both caught Hand, Foot and Mouth. My childrens' father and I are divorced and some days he would pick them up...the OWNER would go behind my back and talk about me to him and then the OWNER would go behind his back and talk about him to me...staff was very unprofessional...would NEVER take my kids back there. They are much happier where they are now. more

My son has been attending this school for 2 years. He loves going. All the teachers and aids know the children well. When we take him or pick him up his 2 year old sister makes herself right at home. She can't wait to start school. It has been a very pleasant experience for all of us. I rommend them to anyone looking for a preschool/daycare more

They cared for both of our daughters from age 1 till kindergarten. They both entered well ahead of grade level. They always loved their teachers and their friends. Pros: Very clean, great teachers Cons: A little more expensive than others more

not good at all. My daughter hated it so did I. I feel bad that her first experience was so bad. unfriendly teachers/not nurturing/cold in the 1-2 class. others seemed nice but not sure more
