You feel like here's some guys you grew up in the neighborhood with even though you just met them. They spotted the problem right away. They fixed the one problem and gave me a list of things that would need to be done in the near future, in order of priority, but with no pressure. They definitely earned my trust. more

I've owned a lot of cars and taken them to a lot of different mechanics in my life. But these guys are the best! Not only are they good at what they do, they do it with a smile. And to top it all off, their prices are incredible. Don't even think about going anywhere else. more

Job Was Perfect 10/19/2011

Had been noticing a noise when there was a dip in the road. They agreed to give an estimate and found that a few clips had come off an under carriage engine plastic guard. Since they started fixing the thing, I asked how much it would cost since I'd originally wanted an estimate. The price was very reasonable and the job was perfect! more

They are straight-forward and up front, and this place does the best they can to keep your bill as low as possible. I have an old car and it needs repairs a lot, and I've never had a more positive experience with a mechanic. I live pretty far from this place, but its worth the trip and they get you done quick. more

This place is totally honest. Took my car in for several problems, and although the estimate was greater than the actual bill, he resolved all of the problems with a very modest bill, much lower than the estimate. This is the place to have your car serviced! more

My New Go To Place 9/22/2011

I took my car because I was having trouble with my brake lights. I thought there might have been a problem with the wiring in the car but it turned out that some of the connections were loose. They reconnected everything and got it working again for a very reasonable price. If I ever have car problems again, I know where I'm going. more

When I used Barnes Automotive and Truck Services to transport my car I was very pleased at they way they did their business. You don't pay the balance until the car is safely delivered to you damage free. That gave me a real peace of mind knowing my car would be in good hands, and it was. Thanks for your assistance. more

We hired Barnes to transport our SUV to the norther part of the state for my daughter at college. I thought the process was gonna be all red tape and no communication and I found the opposite to be true. The vehicle was delivered safe and sound and on time and I'm glad I trusted them because they did a good job. more

Well I dealt with Charlie at Barnes Automotive here in Arlington Heights to handle some issues I was having with my Honda. He was very professional and didn't try and sell me service I didn't need as I did already know what the issue was. Ordered the parts and my car was done before the close of business. more

Wouldn't go anywhere else 8/12/2011

Barnes Automotive has taken care of my Bronco for 14 years. I wouldn't take any of my vehicles anyplace else. This is what a garage is supposed to be - someplace staffed by people who know their work inside and out, who listen when you talk, answer questions when you ask, charge fair prices for work done, stand behind that work, and generally make taking your car to the doctor as good an experience as it can be. more
