The Cardiologist is fabulous. The other doctors I'm not so sure of. The waiting area could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly though.

I have to say, I used to work here 5 years ago as a receptionist. Back then, I knew the compassion of the people who worked there because I knew them as people, but I didn't know the full extent of their caring on the patient side of things. My cat Charlie is a reoccurring feline lower urinary tract disease kitty. Today was his 5th time blocking, and although Barbur was only continuing his care from the emergency, I now know the compassion of the staff on a pet owner level. These are real people, with real understanding, and real love. Their facility is homey, and I want to say that coming from several clinics that had top of the line brand new buildings and equipment.. sometimes clinics can be just like old cars... they may not look as cool, but they do the job much better and then some. Personally, I love the cottage style look as it feels like home and I believe the animals feel the same way. People that look for pristine hospital white sterility, please don't let the home like feel bring your opinions of the place down because as we all know you cannot judge a book by its cover. Would you rather a clinic put all of their money into making it look perfect, or put their money into it actually being close to perfect with their provided care? Please bring your pets here, they will get absolutely the best loving care that they can get. Pros: null Cons: null more

Great, Friendly Service 11/12/2009

We just got back from our first visit after we changed vets hoping for a more convenient location. WOW! Not only was it a more convenient location, but everyone was great. Kind, informative, willing to answer questions......and the hours are convenient, too! The assistant took time to warm up to our cat, give us some tips on clipping nails and was just great. The vet took time to offer pros and cons of different types of vaccines. We really feel like we discovered a gem. Pros: Kind receptionists, convenient location, great vet and ass't more

A Great Little Animal Hospital 10/13/2009

Full disclosure here: I used to work in the front office of this practice. I wanted to comment that a lot has changed at this practice in the past few years. Although it is still a dinky little building, there is a new General Practice Vet and an additional Cardiologist, both of which are wonderful, compassionate, brilliant veterinarians. I have since moved out of the area and no longer work there but given what I have seen behind the scenes while working with these doctors, I would travel the 1,000+ mi to bring my own pets to these vets, no question. Dr. Ewing, the general practice vet, is amazingly personable and goes out of her way to give pets the best treatment possible. I really can't recommend her enough. more

Nothing Special 9/29/2007

If you are looking for a place that shows great attention and love for your pets, keep on looking. I found Dr. Gary Hunt to be informative and willing to answer questions I had about my dog, but overall he and the staff didn?t seem that interested in the animals. We went in for a full check-up, but Dr. Hunt spent less than a minute physically looking at the dog? the rest was spent sitting down on a chair talking to us. The lobby could use a good mopping too. more

Good Car for pet...for a price 9/7/2006

This is my first time went to this pet hospital. It wasn't really big but there are a lot of facilities for different pets and also an emergency room. Their care and service was excellence, but I do notice that they charge more than my neighborhood vet doctor, who is just as good, probably because they're downtown and most downtown offices cost more than normal. So bottom line: great service, nothing to complain about, for a bit more than your usual pet hospital. more
