Philip J. Metz owns and operates The Bankruptcy Center of Joplin, as well as The Law Office of Philip J. Metz, PC. In addition to bankruptcy law Mr. Metz practices in the areas of wills, probate, and trusts, traffic, DWI's, corporate law, and real estate. He is a lifelong resident of Joplin, having attended Irving Elementary, South Junior High School, and in 1978 graduated from the former Parkwood High School, now Joplin High School. All 3 schools were destroyed in the May 22, 2011 tornado. He received a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Economics and Business Administration from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri in 1982, and his Juris Doctorate Degree from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas in 1985.
