I have Bambu on speed-dial 4/1/2011

I have Bambu on speed-dial, as they deliver to my place--thank god! It is rare to find a great carry-out/delivery place that is actually nice to sit and eat in, as well. My favorites are the pumpkin soup, funky roll, hot mama roll, steamed veg dumplings, panang curry with shrimp, and red bean ice cream. We ordered from there three times in the past week! (Hey, it was too cold to go out!) more

So many choices, so little time! I really like this little place. Lunch is the best time to visit. They have lunch box specials($8.50) which include rice and three side dishes(CA roll, salad, miso or hot & sour soup). They offer about a dozen main portion options(only 2 veggie/tofu). more

quick lunch 3/11/2011

I went to Bambu for a quick lunch break with some of my girlfriends. We all decided to order the Bento Box, which includes your choice of soup, a salad, rice, 4 pieces of sushi, and an entree. All this good for only 11ish (I don't remember the EXACT price) dollars!! I decide to go with the Sesame Chicken and got a green tea to go along with it. more

Bambu is very good! I love it! Every time i go there it is fast, fun, and amazingly delicious! I never used to like asian/chinese food. Until i went 2 bambu! I got the sesame chicken and loved it! Now asian/chinese is some of my favorite foods also there prices are not 2 pricy more

One of my all-time favorite restaurants, Bambu has amazing sushi and amazing prices. The food is fantastic, and Bambu also does carry-out. The lunch menu is cheaper, but the dinner menu is still reasonable. more

Bambu has the best sushi in town, always fresh and tasty. Their spicy sauce is to die for so I highly reccomend the spicy crab or spicy tuna. Kabuki roll is excellent as well. more

Living in the neighborhood, i've eaten here numerous times and I've tried several different things on the menu... i can honestly say that i've never been disappointed... everything is always delicious. My favorites are the Sweet and Spicy Noodles w/ pork or beef, Mapo Tofu, Panang Curry, they have the BEST pad thai and, of course, you can never go wrong with their sushi... the cuts are always VERY fresh and the portions are more than what you'd expect for the refreshingly low prices. The staff there are always friendly and they work hard to serve their customers. Great atmosphere, great dining experience, highly recommend. more

I used to work right by this place and we used to come here all the time. Their Red Curry, Chicken Pad Thai, Miso Soup, Pad Se Eu, pretty much everything I've tried is really darn good. Oh, and for dessert, their Mango Sticky Rice is TO DIE FOR!!!! more

interesting mix of foods 2/8/2011

Bambu has an interesting mix of foods (sushi, thai, chinese, and japanese) Their menu by necessity keeps the options short for each food type. I've eaten there a dozen times and each time I go back find something different to try that turns out to pleasantly surprise me. They are also fairly kid friendly and the place has an upbeat vibe. I think their sushi dishes are their weakest offerings, decent but nothing like the best DC has to offer. Their Thai and Chinese is good with some occasional stars. I especially like their noodle dishes and soups. The lunch bento boxes are tasty, well priced and service is quick. They are a welcome addition to the Macarthur blvd corridor. more
