It is sad to see a review about a doctor that is untrue. Kirsten is allowed to have her opinion, but she should at least speak the truth. Dr. Guerkink is an awesome doctor. I would recommend her practice to everyone who has children. She takes her time and she is thorough. My children I have beengoing to doctor Guerkink since they have been born and they are a lot older now. This practice for years had only her in it. She added a male doctor who eventually moved out of state for family reasons. She added Dr. Pollock to the practice who is a wonderful addition. My youngest son had a chonric illness that she attended to. When she knew that she could not handled it alone she sent us to a specialist. Her pride was not to high where he could not say more is needed. Dr. Guerkink has a love for what she does. She listens to her patients and then determines the course of action to take. To Dr. Guerkink you are not just a dollar, you are a person who a person who deserves the best care.I have never question her in the eleven years my children have been seeing her. more

Sadly, this practice cannot meet the needs of parents who have more than a child with a cold. For any children who need a pediatric expert, there are much better local doctors and practices. This practice has switched doctors often, and has unprofessional management in the office area for meeting the needs of any patients who require a critical thinker/problem solver. While this practice was able to meet the needs of yearly shots, the moment my son had a chronic illness diagnosed, they were the only medical office to fail his needs. Simple tests and follow up caused them great challenge. I would recommend Chapin Pediatrics, who has a stellar reputation, or Palmetto Pediatrics. If you want to gamble that your children will only ever need yearly vaccines and flu shots, this practice can meet those needs, however. I will say that Dr. Geurkink is a nice doctor. more

I can't say enough about Ballentine Pediatrics. Their staff answers the phone in two or three rings, is friendly and very competent . Dr. Geurkink is gentle yet thorough with my children. I have taken my two daughters there for both well and sick visits and have been so impressed with Dr. Geurkink's manner and knowledge of medicine. I trust Dr. Geurkink staff and her nurses. It is nice to know that my child's prescription is ready and waiting for pickup at CVS minutes after i have left the office. Thank you Dr. Geurkink for taking such good care of my children for so many years. more
