First visit to Bacio Salon, Kristina cut my hair, was very satisfied with the haircut. After my second visit with Kristina I received a phone call from the salon several days later stating Kristina was no longer employed there and provided another hair stylist for my next appointment. Due to the fact that I experienced two successful visits at the salon I felt this new hair stylist would be proficient also. After arriving at the salon I met with the new hair stylist, who spoke with what I thought a fairly good knowledge regarding hair styling. I requested a haircut (same style) and partial highlights. My hair is dyed an auburn color. The stylist put the highlights in my hair. After a period of time she removed the foils from my hair and stated that the color of the highlights was not right and needed to put a “glaze “on my hair to correct it. I never saw what color my hair was at this time. She stated it would be on my hair approximately 15 minutes. After 25 minutes I asked another staff person where the stylist was as she had not come back after 15 min. Another 5 min. went by then the stylist appeared. She removed the foils, rinsed my hair and proceeded to cut my hair. When she was finished (total of three hours later) I was concerned as I did not really see highlights but as I had been in her chair THREE HOURS and the lighting was not great in this salon I did not speak up. When I went to pay, I was charged $30 more than what I was initially quoted. At this point I was very concerned. I went home I spoke with the family they assured me there was no highlights in my hair. I called back to this salon and stated I was not satisfied with receiving no highlights. The next day the owner of the salon called me. After several phone calls back and forth she stated she would see me on Monday at 4:45 PM and would assess my hair and correct it. I was also informed that I was charged for the “glase”, a problem made by an inexperienced stylist. I arrived on Monday at the time designated by owner. The owner came up to me and stated she had to do a quick cut of a customer's bangs and would be right with me. After 20 min. and observing the owner was actually giving this customer a full haircut I decided that Bacio Salon was a complete scam and their owner was their head cheerleader. I got up and left. I've read reviews on the salon and most of them are from 2011 with one or two in 2012. Thus I can only surmise that Bacio Salon is spiraling downward. If you want to be a high end salon, i.e. charge like one, you need staff that are aware of the limitation of their skills and not be chasing the dollar at cost of your customers and management who are going to stand behind their product and provide customer satisfaction. BEWARE!! more

Amazing Experience 5/20/2012

I have been looking for a solid salon since relocating to Raleigh from DC a year ago...and I have finally found it! From the moment I called to make my appointment to leaving the salon, the whole staff at Bacio made me feel welcome and appreciated...which is not always the case at high end salons. There are no snotty attitudes here! Rexana did a great job on my cut, and the products she recommended are working wonderfully! I even got a hand written thank you card for visiting the salon...a level of customer service most not often found. It may have taken me a year to find Bacio...but I guarantee I can stop looking and can't wait to go back! more

My teenage daughter is a model and I needed to ensure she has a great cut and color for a photoshoot for a magazine. I had been looking for a salon where I could count on consistent quality without an attitude that you can sometimes encounter at hair salons. Yvette has been fantastic, we discussed her background with participating in model shoots across Canada. She was able to give us some great insight but best of all my daughter's hair looked incredible. I totally trust Yvette to cut and color my daughter's hair for all of her shoots, we even had the photographer comment on how rich and lustrous her hair was. As a result, Yvette got two new clients, me and the photographer. I'm a natural blonde with thick curly hair and it's been hard to find someone who can cover up my grey hair without making me look like a bottled blonde. I get compliments on my hair all the time now. I have a feeling Yvette is going to get even more new clients!!! Better schedule my appointments a couple in advance. more

i am responding to the last horrible review about a GREAT salon and GREAT staff. yes i am a friend and have been a client before i became a Mom and have since been puttng my childrens needs/wants before my own. i firmly believe that someone with motive who is very familiar with citysearch, wrote this. i find it very hard to believe that the stylist they described in the review would have time for a walk in. in fact, i know she is too busy for that. look her up, her name is yvette cannas. she is by far the most talented/skilled/busy sylist in the area who happens to be one of the nicest/giving/caring people i have ever met! i cannot say enough great things about her, her staff, and her salon. i have worked in an upscale salon as a stylist for years and am familiar with the business. therefore, sometimes i feel like ""people"" use this site in order to bad mouth competition, or as a way for the public to be negative under the radar because they dont have the guts to say express there thoughts to someones face. trust me, it happens ALOT, its a cowardly move if you ask me. trust me, i have experienced being in an atmosphere in which i felt like my business was not appreciated (unfortunately that happens)... but this establishment is far from that, and i know they work very hard at customer service and being the best of the best! i have absolutely nothing to gain from writing this review. i just felt compelled to do so and hope that everyone at Bacio Salon doesnt mind. more

There are better places out there! I felt like my business was unappreciated. The stylists there act stuck up and they were really rude. I will NEVER go back. From reading the reviews it seems friends are making the comments about how well they were taking care of. I was a walk in. A short, skinny, dark haired older woman did my hair. She was not friendly or warm to me. She talked to her staff and to other clients but not to me. I have never felt more uncomfortable or unwelcome at a salon. Especially, a salon which is pretending to be high end. If you are looking for a salon which does good hair this is the place. If you are looking for a salon which does good hair and acts like they appreciate your business go somewhere else. If you don't have a prior relationship with these people they don't care about you. I felt as if they had to put up with me. They are a small salon with a huge attitude; I can't beleive anyone in the service industry would treat clients they don't know so badly. I am looking for a salon that has a mix of great talent and have actual knowledge of customer service. It really did seem that you have to be a personal friend to be treated like you matter. It was the worst experience in customer service. They should be ashamed. A fake smile does not equal good customer service. I saw the dark haired stylist chit chat/ chit chat with one woman then when she did my hair...dead silence. For weeks, I wondered what was wrong with me. Then I realized WHAT WAS WRONG WITH HER. Trust me folks, there are salons that do just as good of a job. If this review seems unfair. I would love to be reached by the owners of the salon. I would leave my email address here but I bet all of the friends leaving good reviews will chime in. more

they know their stuff and make you look great 2/29/2012

Have been 3 times - had cut, color and brazilian blowout. I feel that I was helped by everyone there. When I asked questions, and I ask a lot of them, they took time to explain and provide multiple opinions, views and perspective on pros and cons of type of service. I love my color - best quality in long time, cut was perfect and brazilian was just total fun... also, make your appointment for evenings - hair and happy hour, relaxing atmosphere - laid back and enjoyed every minute. Picky and Pleased 1/18/2012

I seem to never really be that happy with my hair. No matter how much I pay or where I go. I am in my 40's and thought this was just because I am so fussy. I do have very thin fine hair that has a mind of it's own. Well..... FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A LONG TIME. I LOOK HOT! I feel so excited about this place. A co worker went there for a Holiday Hair make over and she looked amazing. Very different due than she normally wears and she looks amazing. I had to give this place a try. Yvette, the owner was such a fun lady to be around. All we did was giggle and have a great time. I WAS AMAZED AT HOW GREAT I LOOKED. I feel like a new women! I trusted what she suggested (something i never do) My color and cut is the best I have ever had. It is also a fancy schmancy salon. You can have gourmet coffee or wines from Italy while you are pampered. They also put your hands in hot wax to relax you and add a nice touch to your experience. I am so glad I was told about this place. Go quick if you are sick of the same ol same ol. more

Best Color I've ever had!!! 11/18/2011

This is no joke. Been having my hair colored for over 10 years and Rexana at Bacio Salon is hands down the best color and cut stylist ever. At first I thought she lucked out but I have been 4 times now and I think she's getting better. All my freinds tell me how great my hair looks these days and that's never happened before! My hair looks and feels like my hair did when I was younger and that's hard to do at my age! I will never go to anyone else. more

Kristina is awesome! 11/6/2011

I have had my hair colored and cut by Kristina several times now, and she is fantastic! Every time I come in for my appointment, she takes time to ask how my hair has worked for me since my last visit. When I ask her opinion about a different color or style, I get an honest answer, and she has never steered me wrong! I wear my hair short, and she always manages to trim and shape it just right. She also does a great job with color--people often tell me they think it's my natural color! Little do they know! I would tell anyone to see Kristina, she will work wonders! more

BEST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE 11/5/2011

Great service, great people, great style! Bacio Salon treated me like a queen and gave me a hairstyle to match! I can honestly say, Kristina gave me the BEST haircut I have ever had. I will not be able to get it cut anywhere else. She is an absolute doll and gave a MAGICAL head massage when shampooing my hair. She also treated me with a parafin wax treatment for my hands, leaving them feeling incredibly soft! Kristina gets 5 STARS from me! A big thank you to Bacio Salon (Yvette)! more

BEST COLOR EVER!!!!!!! 10/22/2011

I live in New York City and go to one of the best salons in the area. However, I came to Raleigh to visit family and was in need of a cut and color. My sister suggested that I try her stylist. I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO TAKE THIS GAL HOME WITH ME!!!! I have never had such a great color job!!! She completely took my old hair color and shared with me how I could change it for the better. I was scared to try something new. I was going to the best Salon in Manhatten so how could this women know any better???? Wow did she ever!!!! Yvette knows her stuff and definitely knew exactly what to do with my hair. I feel very sexy again. (been a long time) I have a sassy cut and the color suits me so much better than what I had. I will come back every time I am there to see my family. I love Yvette!!! Go see her!!!! more

Best Salon in Raleigh 10/17/2011

Have been going to Yvette for over a year now and this is the first time I have ever written a review for anything! She is the best colorist and stylist I've ever dealt with. She always takes her time and makes you feel like you are her only client. I have never felt rushed and she has always given me great advice. She is the kind of stylist you could tell ""Do whatever you think is best"" and know you would come out looking fabulous. I watched someone come in off the street without an appointment and she treated them like they were the most important person there. She is in a very competitive service industry but she is in it to stay and teach others how really good service is done. more

AMAZING experience at Bacio! 9/22/2011

Kristina cut my hair a couple weeks ago and she did a fabulous job! I tend to be pretty picky about the way my hair is cut, but Kristina listened to everything I was asking for and followed up on each request I had. She was great to talk to and gives the best scalp massage I've ever had. The salon is beautiful and relaxing, and I will definitely be back! Thank you Yvette for recommending her! more

Quality, not quantity 9/18/2011

I've been a client of Yvette's for a few years now and can say that she is nothing less than amazing. I'm very detailed oriented and in addition to that have difficult hair; Yvette has always taken the time to listen to my concerns and figure out a solution. Not only that, she has also spent time consulting with me between appointments. She never ever pushes products and is always very conscious of keeping costs down. Last week I went to Kristina for highlights---she did a great job and spent a lot of extra time with me. I have my second brazillian blowout scheduled this week and after calling around for prices can tell you that this is the best deal in the triangle. Bacio is focused more on quality--not quantity--and I think thats what sets it apart from every other salon. more

More then a Kiss 9/9/2011

My experience at Bacio Salon was great. Everyone at the salon was so nice. Kristina took her time to make my hair beautiful and shiny. She colored and glazed my hair. Then did a Brazilian hair treatment to straighten and reduce frizz....I LOVE IT :-) My long hair feels smooth and looks very sexy. It was money well spent! more

I've had so many compliments on my highlights!! I was getting stripey brassy highlights for the last two years and everyone noticed the difference after one visit with Rexana. She is warm and friendly and I felt instantly comfortable with her. I am telling all my friends to go to Rex.....the atmosphere in the salon is inviting and comfortable. Very elegant and the cappuccino was excellent!!! Can't wait to schedule my next appointment!! more
