Bj's may looking intimidating from the outside due to the burned out bulbs on the Stag Beer sign and the stray snaggle toothed hoosier leaning against the railing leading up to the entrance, but I can assure this bar is harmless. When you open the door and enter the bar everyone will stop what they are doing and look at you. It is very important to keep your head down at this point and head towards the kitchen. The pizza here is really the only reason a sane individual would want to step foot in this hole. This "bar food" pizza rivals most of the chain stores in the area, and is allot cheaper. While you're waiting for your pizza to cook, walk on the old creaky wooden floor towards the beer stained rickety bar and order a mason jar of beer. It's only three bucks, and it's most likely flat. But what else would you expect from a hole such as this. If it takes longer than expected to cook your pizza and you have to use the restroom, do yourself a favor and wait until you get home. With a Stag Beer light overhanging the unused front door and Pabst in cans on the drink list, you know this is a special kind of place. Walk into BJ's pizza in Old Town Florissant, and you step into a different universe. You can pick up cheese or veggies by the pound, buy a carton of cigarettes, or even have a beer. You want an 8 ounce bottle of Bud? Okay! The food will tempt you, even if all the old political signs and posters are trying to keep your attention. From the tastiest, crispest St. Louis-style pizza to the 1/2 pound bacon cheeseburger, it's all good. Beer battered onion rings, fish sandwiches, rib-eye on a roll... The choices go on, and most of them are the kind that will go straight to your hips. BJ's has the requisite pull-tab machines, as well as a deer hunting game and a video jukebox, to keep you occupied while the big screen tv is showing commercials. The bartenders are down-to-earth, and the guys who write up your order are good with faces. You'll quickly feel like a regular, and this place will make you want to be one. more
