After living at Avistele for one year, I cannot recommend the complex to friends or family. The apartments are old, and we had a good amount of maintenance issues. My biggest issue with Avistele was the Security Deposit. When I moved out, I left the apartment in very good condition with no damage. They took my $250 pet deposit and sent me a bill for another $200 because they said my carpet needed to be replaced. When I was living in the apartment, we had a slab leak that flooded the entire apartment with a mix of dirt and water. The carpet was ruined at that point. Because I was only living there a few more months, I told Avistele not to worry about replacing the carpet. But once I moved out, they blamed it on ME! They said the carpet smelled like pet urine?!?! If you want a nice place to live where the management won't steal your deposit, I would live elsewhere. Most people I know that rented at Avistele only lived there one year because they got fed up with the complex for one reason or another. Again, i would stay away from this place.
