Wrong Service 11/26/2011

I brought my friends for a spa day on Saturday, November 19, because I had wonderful service in the past. When Gigi took me upstairs, she informed me that I would receive the Therapeutic Massage. I clarified that I made an appointment for the Himalayan Salt Stone Massage. Gigi insisted that my appointment was for the Therapeutic Massage. I said again that I reserved the Himalayan Salt Stone Massage and that I usually get the Hot Stone Massage. Without checking with the front desk, Gigi was firm that the appointment was for the Therapeutic Massage. I was there with my girlfriends for a relaxing spa day. I did not want added stress or poor service, so I accepted the Therapeutic Massage. This is akin to ordering an entree at a restaurant and receiving the wrong order with the waitstaff insisting that I enjoy the wrong meal. I called the next day and spoke with Cece about my experience. She said that manager Lisa Swan would call me to resolve the matter. It is now one week later. Nothing has been resolved. My friends and I will not return to AvantGard. more

New 5 Star Treatment- Heaven!!! 11/21/2011

I just tried the new 5 star maicure/pedicure with HOT STONES. It was so relaxing I found myself drifting off to a nice snore....Ah..... Crystal does a meticulous job and has magic fingers on the massages. The HOT STONES are such a treat. I'm ready to take on the Turkey with a fabulous perfect manicure and twinkling tootsies! Thank you Crystal :-) and thank you AvantGard for this new service. more

Great massage 11/20/2011

Excellent massage I had with Simone. I asked for a light massage and that's exactly what I got. I never felt pain anywhere at anytime. It was perfect for me. I will definitely go back and ask for Simone once again. What a treat! I may try their other services next time. more

One of the main reasons that I continue to go to your spa, is the serenity of your spa. When I enter, I immediately forget that I'm in San Carlos. Thank you for keeping that up and making it feel so cozy. I have gone to many spas, and I mean many, and one thing I know for sure, is that the feeling of relaxation and zen are imperative. I still don't understand how I can be so close to the building can be so close to El Camino, but feel like I'm in heaven! I've been going to AvantGard for years and have seen many of the massage therapists...all are very knowledgeable and fantastic! I truly appreciate having a place I can go to, a near by, to get away from everyday stress. more

Pedi-Mint Pedicure 11/15/2011

My sister and law and female cousins coordinated a "girls day" at the spa. All 5 of us were taken in at the same time and began our services at the same time. We all had different services but all of us had nothing but great things to say about our services. Fanty was my girl who provided me with the Pedi-Mint Pedicure and the 25 minute Manicure. She was so friendly. She definitely took her time with me; not once did i feel rushed. I highly recommend this salon. They definitely sterilize their tools and use quality producta. more

I have been going to Crystal for several years. I am hooked. She knows what she is doing and has a special touch. She is not leaving nor do I ever want her to. I only say this because often when I find someone I enjoy, they leave. Crystal's pedicures are great :) more

Beautiful Spa 11/6/2011

I have been getting massages with Jen and she is my favorite massu. She is very sweet and professional. The spa is beautifully decorated and the staff is very nice. I loved the boutique which has great products and nice gift ideas. I wish I could go more often. more
