Saturday nights in Germany 7/19/2007

When my wife and I were in Germany several years ago, we were taken by our hosts to a great restaurant in the Mosel valley. It was just amazing how much it reminded us of the Austrian Village. In the best ways. Except the Village does't have eel soup nor any venison. Pros: Parking, Ambience Cons: Saturdays are crowded and no reservations under 4 people more

nice german food at unbelievable prices 12/24/2006

The Austrian Village is unasumming in this busy Rocklege neighborhood. Upon entering the newly remodled atrium-- it is now handicapped accessible-- with the soda fountian type bar to the right and rows of wooden tables lined symetrically from one end of the dining area to the other, one could decide this place is neither cozy nor sparce. After being seat by a friendly girl dressed in traditional Austrian attire, my wife and I ordered a hooegarden and a warsteiner on tap, respectively. There is not much of a wine list. Pros: inexpensive, good beers, friendly service Cons: tight parking, no atmosphere more

Most Authentic and Best Value! 2/11/2006

The Austrian Village is the place to go if you are looking for the real thing! The ambience is something that you would totally expect. Looking like a nice warm tavern. The food is absolutly awesome. Recommend trying all thier autentic dishes! They are sure not to disapoint! Pros: Inexpensive, Food, Parking more

A good representation of Austrian cuisine 11/16/2005

I have never been to Austria and I've had minimal exposure to Austrian cuisine, so I came to this cuisine without many pre-conceived notions when I brought my wife here for her birthday. I have to say that I was certainly happy with it overall - enough decor to link my readings on Austria, Austrian beer - BIG PLUS of having the right drink to go with the food, good service - explained all the things on my plate and recommended the beer I should go with. As for quantity, you'll have some left overs to take back home. I now understand how Mozart was able to produce such good music. Pros: Open space, Good Service, Inexpensive Cons: Parking can be tight more
