NEVER AGAIN would I take my dog here, pure bred or mutt! They only care about the money and will treat you like they know it all and you are stupid. They are egotistical and self-centered. I have news for ya, you're not the smartest vet in the world. Your practice is shady at best and you're delusional and talking bad about former employees pretty much opens the door to a lawsuit knuckleheads.. Maybe it's time you retire. BTW, the girls at the front desk are snotty and rude. Probably sexist against men since they seem to be super friendly toward the women. more

I began my experience with Aurora Animal Hospital after deciding to make an international move with my dogs which requires extensive screening documentation and testing on both dogs. They are near where I live and they are federally accredited. Ok! Just what I needed!\r \r I was nervous about leaving the vet that I had been taking my dogs to since they were pups, but I am so glad I did! Dr. Esposito was so great with the ""kids"" and with helping us navigate all of the qualifications we had to meet in a timely manner. \r \r The girls at the front (Kate and Ashley) have been life savers! They are so friendly and helpful, and so ON TOP OF IT! They get back to me right away and have been so timely in faxing forms and getting signatures ect. we're talking within Hours! (these girls deserve a raise;)!!!)\r \r If I were not leaving the country I would fully trust Aurora Animal Hospital and their staff with the care of my dogs, I cant thank them enough and would highly recommend their establishment to all my friends and family who I know love their pets as much as I do!\r I will definitely return to them when I am stateside again;) more

Do not bring your pets here! They 1/16/2012

Do not bring your pets here! They killed my husky. They told me the medication they prescribed had no side effects. He developed a bleeding ulcer and we had to put him to sleep. And it was a direct result of the medication which I learned after going on the internet and looking up the medication. Prior to this I had had a number of issues with this practice. Including not fully informing me of critical information needed after a cancer diagnosis in my border collie. I also seemed to butt heads with the receptionist here almost every time I called. I never felt like they respected my wallet here either. I have lived in this area for a long time and I have had multiple pets in that time and I have used a number vets for various reasons and I have to say that this organization is the worst I have ever dealt with. They also bad mouthed one of their former employees to me. Which I found very unprofessional and childish. Please do not take your pets here they will not be cared for properly. more

Three Paws Up!! 11/12/2011

Nearly four and a half years ago, I was unhappy with my Vet's Office and decided to try a different vet when I got my new rescue puppy. I went to Aurora Animal Hospital and Dr. Cogswell walked into the room and spent a couple of minutes getting to know Aspen before she and I talked. I was SOLD! My puppy was the patient and Dr. Cogswell focused on her patient first. Aurora Animal Hospital has continued to impress me each and every time we visit. The front desk staff recognizes my pets and I when we arrive, we are seen quickly and my three ""kids"" still get the same excellent attention that impressed me on that first day. In addition to routine exams for my three rescue dogs, AAH has been with me through a torn ACL, scratched corneas, seizures, teeth cleaning, spay surgery, behavior issues and lots of ""unplanned visits"" for my accident-prone dog. I have referred friends to AAH and they agree that Dr. Cogswell and her team are the best. From the moment you walk in the doors, you will know you have entered a very special place with the most caring team of veterinary professionals in town. If your pets are your kids and you would do anything for them, you MUST go to AAH. more

Best Vet in Town!!! 11/8/2011

My rating speaks for itself: RUN, DON'T WALK your pets to the Aurora Animal Hospital! You won't find a more compassionate, experienced veterinarian than Dr. Holly Cogswell and her team of professionals to care for your pets! Dr. Cogswell has seen my cat, Maui, numerous times and has always gone above and beyond. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable in her field, it's obvious in her patience and careful handling of Maui that she loves animals. Maui used to pee on EVERYTHING in our house, and my fiancee and I were at our wits' end trying to figure out what to do. We took her several vets before winding up at Aurora Animal Hospital to see Dr. Cogswell. She explained to us that, rather than Maui acting out as we had assumed, our cat's symptoms were those of a urinary tract infection. With some antibiotics and the proper diet, Maui was cured, cat-astrophe avoided! I'll never go to another vet again. Thank you, Dr. Cogswell!! more

Above and beyond... AAH = A 11/8/2011

I couldn't be more impressed with Dr. Cogswell and the team at Aurora Animal Hospital. She treated our Golden Retriever ""Barley"" like he was a member of her own family. Sadly, while we were in the Mountains with Barley on vacation, a tumor on his spleen ruptured and we had no choice but to put him down. Dr. Cogswell went above and beyond by walking me through exactly what was happening, and what options there were. There was no way I could have been able to make it to AAH in time, but she helped us get through the tough decision, even though we had to go to another vet in Granby. A couple of weeks after adopting another dog he started losing clumps of hair and had sores on his back (sorry for the details). AAH diagnosed an allergy to Lamb in his new food. We switched and he immediately was better. There is no other vet I would trust our pets with. A+++ more

Horrible 8/22/2011

Don't ever go there!! The room smelled like cat pee, I did annual stuff as recommended and they called and left me a message with blood numbers that I had no idea what they meant. Not saying if the results were good or not. The receptionist was rude, when I walked in she asked me ""what do you need"" in a disrespectful tone ! I will never go back there. If there was a option to give no stars I would rate them with that! more

Awesome Vets.! 6/9/2010

Dr. Holly and Dr. Sharyn, are amazing! my dogs never minded going to the Vet. and I always looked forward to it myself, it was like going to a friends or family members home. I recently had to move away from the area, and saying goodbye to the staff at Aurora Animal Hospital was very difficult for me, but they still keep in touch and consult with me or my new Vet. as needed. Hesitate no more, if you need a Vet. this is the place to call!\r \r Pros: Professional, Friendly, Love their jobs! more
