I didn't quite know what to expect out of Aunt Ruthie's Tea Time when I signed up my Brownie Troop to attend a tea party.
WOW. I was so impressed by the entire experience. The owner has really put a lot of energy into creating a Victorian setting in a small house on the Westside of Indianapolis.
You are required to pick an outfit from her collection of gowns and "prom dresses". You must complete your look with hat, gloves & purse. Of course, there are outfits for boys/men, too. You even get to pick out shoes & jewerly.
Next, we played party games & sang songs. The owner is a wonderful musician and played the guitar as we sang.
Then we had a brief overview of manners and we treated to a feast of sandwiches, fruit, vegetables and more. We enjoyed tea and lemonade and then were served a piece of a handcrafted TEAPOT cake. Delicious.
Aunt Ruthie's tea time is the perfect spot for birthday parties, bridal showers and more.
You won't be disappointed.
