Gyros were HUGE! LOTS of meat! Delish! Lemon Chicken Orzo soup - also delish! Glad we ordered extra tzaikki (sp?) sauce - not enough on gyro sandwiches. (only complaint and that's not major since it's only 75 cents for extra sauce!) They read special order notes (not everyone does!) and my son got his Gyro with no onions as requested. more

Paid almost $40 15.50 + 6 + delivery charge + tip for food and ended up with cold food and barely any food at that. Order placed at 505pm arrived at 645pm. more

was a loyal customer for nine years, this place is going down the tube. recently my wife and I went, we left a 18% tip on a 23.00 dollar meal. apparently that was not enough, our bank statement shows up and we discovered that the waitress had OVER WRITTEN THE BILL TO SHOW THAT WE HAD LEFT A 28% TIP, we confronted the owner and asked to see the bill. they changed the end total! this is not the first bad experience we have had with this restaurant, we have experienced nasty wait staff, filthy restrooms, dirty tables and silverware as well as finding body hair presumably from the owner who does most of the cooking with his shirt half buttoned, also good luck if you want fresh cracked pepper on your salad, this was another one of our other experiences. the waitress got real indigent when asked ""can I get some fresh cracked pepper"" she looked at me and said ""we'er not a 5 star restaurant do you see me wearing white gloves"" more

Our first visit sold us and we have not since been disappointed. The food is great, the staff and owners make you feel like part of the family. We take everyone here and they love the experience. It is usually busy but not packed so I almost hate posting this review, I do not want others to know. It is fantastic though, a hidden gem for sure more

The Athenian provides excellent food, excellent service, and an excellent atmosphere. The staff treats you like a part of the family, and is very helpful when choosing your meal. The food was to die for. Best spanakopita I've had in a long while. Hands down the best Greek restaurant in the Denver metro area. Pros: Service, Food quality, friendliness. more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Colorado. The food is wonderful; the pastitio is absolutly divine! The hospitality is the best I have ever seen. They really treat you like family here, and I wish my family could cook so well. Excellent! Pros: Great Food, Great Service, Location is easy to get to. more
