My experience with Associates in Periodontics 1/15/2011

I have been going to Associates in Periodontics since 1998. They have always provided excellent service. They are friendly,conscientious and make every effort to make your visit a pleasant one. It seems as if each time I visit, they have made some improvement to the wait area. My treatment has gone well. All of my expectations have been met. When I filled out their customer satisfaction survey, I had to answer "met expectations", rather than exceed" for most of the questions only because I have learned to expect only high quality, professional service from them ans I have never been disappointed. I would highly recommend them to anyone. more

Top flight dental office 1/14/2011

There is no more competent dental office in Vermont than Associates in Periodontics. I have been to enough dental offices over the years for various procedures to recognize excellence in dentistry. I have been a patient for 35 years and have found that both the doctors and the hygienists to be excellent and truly interested in giving you the best outcome while educating you as to what needs to be done to maintain good dental health. more

Kudos to Dr. Shuman's team 1/13/2011

The personalized attention, caring manner and reassuring atmosphere of Dr. Shuman's office are exceptional. At age 49, I had my first ever oral surgery, two gum grafts - a procedure friends assured me was barbaric, painful and traumatic. To my surprise, it was none of these under the skilled care of Dr. Shuman and his incredible staff. I experienced no pain during the procedure, recovered quickly,and have no lingering effects other than happy, healthy gums. If you need oral surgery, this is your team. more

Need a periodontist? Don't hesitate to call and make an appointment to see Dr. Schumann. You will receive down-to-earth advice in a positive and straight-forward manner. You'll leave knowing what you need to have done and why. It's a great place to do business and come out smiling! more

I cannot say enough about the treatment and care that I received from Dr. Shuman and the staff at Associates in Periodontics. I had the utmost confidence in Dr. Shuman's ability to get me the desired result, and he did. Every appointment was handled so thoroughly and professionally, that it gave me the impression that I was the only patient in the practice. Dr. Shuman's personal follow up and caring attitude made me feel special. As a nice bonus, my proceedure was virtually pain free. Dr. Shuman exudes medical confidence and is warm and personable. Cindy is an uber-hygienist, her teeth cleanings are incredibly thorough, and she is almost a walking X-ray machine the way she can detect cavities. My teeth might just outlive me thanks to them and my regular dentist, Dr. Randy Miller. As a bonus they all are Red Sox fans as I could not have a Yankees fan work on my teeth and gums. Saving my teeth 1/6/2011

When I first was referred to Associates in Periodontics, I was on the verge of loosing several of my teeth from deteriorating gums. Both the increased periodic cleaning by their dental assistants and education on how to deal with plaque buildup helped save my teeth by preventing any further gum deterioration. I also want to make a point of mentioning the friendly professional treatment that I receive from everyone on the staff from Doc Halliday on down. I can't believe the patience she shows to me with my references made to her about the dentist/gunfigher of the Old West - Doc Holiday. more

Saved my teeth 1/6/2011

Because of peridontal services I was able to save my teeth. I was told by my earlier Dr. that they did all they could for me. Thank God for peridontal services, my teeth are much better and they are are checking me annually to make sure they don't get any worse. They are great and keep me informed on caring for my teeth. No complaints more

Most people laugh when I say that it is always pleasant and I never mind going to an appointment at Associates in Periodontics, but I really don't! I have been a patient for nearly 30 years. The entire staff has a way of making you feel comfortable and at ease. I have the upmost trust and respect for the team from the doctors to the desk folks. They know what needs to be done, explain it thoroughly, and then do it. You can put your trust in them. They call after the procedure to make sure you are feeling well. If you send them an article about a procedure and question it, you will get a call at home from the Orthopedist discussing the options. more

Having been to numerous settings over my 64 years for dental care, I can say without hesitation or reservation that Dr Shuman and everyone on his staff are outstanding in all respects. The level of professionalism and compassion, the patient, gentle, confident techniques utilized, the attention to detail related to explanations and answering of questions, the precise attention to individual analgesia needs are exactly what each of us would hope to encounter with every visit. Consistency is paramount and therefore trust is easily established and maintained. Dr Shuman is clearly an exceptional individual from all perspectives and ensures his staff exemplify his exceedingly high standards. I can only wish I had found his practice years ago! I can only wish I had found Dr Shuman's practice years ago. more

Hi, I have been going to periodontists over the last 25 years in the Boston area. I did not expect that Associates in Periodontics located in Vermont would be better than those listed for "Best of Boston" in periodontics. Their periodontists and dental hygenists are competent and really understand how important it is to collaborate with your medical physician. They are 99% on time for appointments and go above and beyond to make it easier for the patient to stay healthy. Nancy B more

I've never been a fan of going to the dentist so when I found out I needed a bit of work done at the periodontist I was quite nervous. If this sounds familiar to you, look no further. The entire staff at Associates in Periodontics is fabulous. They're helpful with your insurance so you know exactly where you stand financially, they're friendly, courteous and professional at all times, plus, when your bottom hits the chair, they want you to be as comfortable as possible. For me, they take the "dread" out of going. I actually look forward to seeing everyone!! I would highly recommend this office for any and all of your periodontal needs. more

While I would hesitate to claim going to Associates in Periodontics is like visiting a friend, in many ways it is. I have been a patient of Dr. Levi and his staff for more than 35 years. I always feel upbeat about and do not dread appointments, even when surgical proceedures are involved. The staff is consistently positive. Dr. Levi never fails to treat me as a long time friend, and I am always confident in his recommendations and surgical skills. During Dr. Levi's absence, Dr. Shuman has been very attentive to my periodontal needs. more
