Terrible place!! Owner has no customer service and very rude!!! And she told a friend of mine in an email that she was deaf and that's the reason why she never answers the phone -- why would a business owner insist customers leave their credit card information in a voicemail if they are deaf? Another friend of mine said that she's spoken with the owner in person and she didn't appear to have any hearing impairment.... very ugly woman, who clearly lies, and not a good facility for your pet! more

Aspen Grove charges by the day. Our 48 hour stay counted as THREE days. (Most kennels charge by the night, which is more beneficial for the client.) Charging by the ""day"" is unfair to clients. We will not use Aspen Grove again! more

I really hate to do this, but I have to say this business needs Ritz Carlton training. It is by far the best place in town to place your dogs as far as their care, or to have them groomed. HOWEVER, as far as customer service when there is a problem, well...forget it. First of all, you cannot speak directly to staff. Period. They communicate by email, even when there is an immediate problem. Second, they are totally intractable as far as their ""rules"" (and these aren't necessarily clearly spelled out on the website) are concerned. I have in the past been a very satisfied customer, but have decided based on a recent experience, not to use them again. Please make sure you understand all the finer details when you book your animals. As long as there are no issues, it is a great place to board, but don't expect any help when you have issues. It just won't happen. more

My dogs have been to Aspen Grove twice for week long visits while we were on vacations. The kennel workers are very nice, courteous, helpful, appear to enjoy interacting with the different dogs, and very polite answering questions. The office area is neat and smells pleasant. Negatives for me that may not matter to you: the owner's customer service skills have been nonexistent on the four visits I have made for drop-offs/pickups. I have seen it with other customers also as I waited for my dogs so I am not taking it personally. But for that much money she should be customer service to the max! I mean a pleasant tone and a smile won't kill ya! The staff does not answer the phone so I had to leave messages to check on our dogs. Someone did call back but it is inconvenient. They do not answer during their office hours either. Their voicemail says they do it so they can provide optimum care for your pets which is what you do want after all. Make reservations early. I LOVE Aspen Grove & so does my dog. When we drive up, she whines until I let her out & take her in. She is a very shy dog, but she pulls the staff into the back when I drop her off. They have the nicest inside/outside kennel area. They have a big yard for all the dogs to play together. My dog is always exhausted when I pick her up. The title says it all. You will not find any better place for your pets. The staff is the best in the business. We have taken multiple pets to Aspen Grove since they opened and each one has the same reaction after the first visit. They do not want to leave and they just about break down the door to get in when you take them back the next time. They are always well taken care of and come home clean and happy from all the activities at Aspen Grove. Do not believe the negative reviews regarding Aspen Grove. They are truly the best and are there to take care of your pets when you cannot. This is something they have perfected to make both the owners and the pets keep coming back. After hearing great reviews about this kennel from a coworker, I decided to go check it out with my dog before I booked a stay there. I would have called ahead of time, but their website states that its not necessary to make an appointment for a tour and to come anytime during their business hours. We drive over there, about 20 minutes from my house, and I go in to give them my dog's vaccination papers and tell them that I'd like to take the tour. The woman at the front desk told me that since the manager wasn't there I couldn't have a tour. I asked her if she was serious, and she said yes, that I couldn't see any of the facility since her manager wasn't there. Not wanting to become enraged and press the issue, I left extremely confused and went home. Anyways, I don't know if this woman was having a bad day, or if this behavior is a clue to something else, but I certainly don't want my dog staying somewhere where they don't even treat the dog owners nicely. So now I must continue my search for a dog kennel. Why did you have to be like this to me Aspen Grove??? more

I am always very concerned about my dog being well taken care of when I am out of town. I have used this kennel twice, after having multiple poor experiences at other locations. They have been wonderful both times. I was allowed to take a walking tour all through their kennel. ( I wont take my dog anywhere that wouldnt allow that) Their kennels are clean. My dog can go in and out when she wants, while still being in her own personal kennel space. She really enjoys and prefers the outdoors. She comes home clean and smelling good. I like that they provide you with a 'report card' about her stay. Her blanket is even clean when she comes home. The staff there are friendly and helpful. They do not answer the phone when you call to check on your dog, but they will return your call within a reasonable amount of time. My only problems with this place is that they are a little pricey compared to other places (WORTH IT). Their hours arent ideal, very restrictive. Get your reservations in early, they are often full if you call at the last minute. I have two bulldogs and they absolutely love Aspen Grove! They are always so excited when they get out of the car and see where they are. I never worry about them when I am away!! I highly recommend this resort for your pets!! Pros: Great staff, very freindly and caring Cons: Wish it was closer but styill worth the drive more
