My husband and I went to Asian Fin on a recommendation and, as sushi lovers, we were looking forward to a great experience - unfortunately, we were really disappointed.\r
Our first roll was a choice from the specials menu - the King Kong roll, which was sounded awesome: spicy king crab with avocado and cilantro and topped with wild salmon. For $18, we were served six small pieces of sushi filled with dry, old crabmeat (no spicy mayo at all) and topped with fishy salmon and a mysterious, gross yellow sauce (what I'm guessing was supposed to be the "cilantro" because it had some sort of green flakes floating in it but it tasted nothing like cilantro). \r
We debated leaving but we had already ordered two more rolls so we stuck around, less than optimistic about what would be served.\r
The rock shrimp tempura roll and tuna california roll weren't bad but we still weren't impressed for $15 each. The rock shrimp tempura roll was listed on the menu to be served with a spicy aioli but instead was served with a little dish of bottled sweet chili sauce. And the cold tuna roll was served on a hot place, which wasn't very appetizing.\r
Overall, we were bummed to have gotten our hopes up for something so mediocre. In fact, we've had better, fresher-tasting, and more creative sushi at RA. We probably should've guessed by the lack of a crowd at 8pm on a Saturday night. Don't waste your money.
