I've been getting take out for a while and decided to finally go there in person. Not a good idea! My check was not correct and when I questioned it, I was challenged. I called the restaurant after I got home because I have never been treated that badly and thought the manager would like to know. Perhaps it was an off night with staff. After speaking with the owner she told me "ma'am,I don't care if I have your business". Enough said. more

7/14/2012\r Skip this one.\r We have been here twice and have had the misfortune to meet the owner both times.\r He is nasty and seems to have nothing but contempt for his customers.\r I ordered the sushi regular, which they get $25 for on an ala carte basis.\r no soup no salad and when it came out it consisted of one piece of tuna, one piece of salmon and the rest was white non-descript. I wasnt happy and asked to send it back for some more tuna and salmon. Who came out but Colonel Saitu, to say,\r ":No Substiutions!" I sent it back anyway and he charged me $5 a piece for what I wanted. Needless to say we wont ever go back.\r You can do better for your hard earned money. more

The best sushi and vibe in palm beach, the owner Yama went out of his way to please us with creative sushi special foie Gras sushi and a tasty sweet hog snapper special. Great mood music and very busy, Abbie was there to greet us and took our RSVP and were seated within 10 minutes. You see the quality of the sushi as you pass the open kitchen and notice the true deep colors of all the seafood displayed. A must for sushi more

Horrible service, empty on a Friday night, terrible beer selection. Sushi was not fresh, poor quality and overpriced. more

We tried out Asian Fin after getting a Groupon. The first time we tried to dine there, they refused to seat us in the dining area, stating there were no tables open and we could only sit at the bar. There were over a dozen open tables, but the host insisted there were reservations for all of them. Yeah, right. The place was practically empty.\r \r So we made reservations a week later and got seated in a tiny table with both seats facing the bar (half-booth with no chair), so we got to "enjoy" a view of ten rear ends while we ate. All of this would've been excusable if the food was decent, but it was the second-worst sushi we've ever eaten. The shrimp was cold and soggy, the rolls were loose, and the soy sauce tasted awful.\r \r On top of all that, we spent the last ten minutes of our meal listening to the manager argue with another diner right in the middle of the restaurant. Everything about this place is pretentious, from the decor to the menu to the staff. We won't be coming back. more

I have been a customer of Asian Fin since its opening. I have slowly seen the place go downhill. The service is at best mediocre. The staff is unpleasant and condescending to say the least. We were told that we could only sit at the bar since we were a party of 2 and all the other 2 person tables were full. There were 11 empty tables!!!! It was 6:15 and none of them had a reserve sign on them. We sat at the bar and had the worst martini ever. I did not drink it but was still charged for it. I asked the bartender if this was a new policy and he gave me the most ridiculous answer... He was the worst server in the place...We were over charged by him and when we told him he got even ruder. Just paid and left... Will not be back more

Excellent sushi! I have been here perhaps 6-7 times in the last two years and have only experienced excellent food. Service tends to be OK but not great. I have not found better sushi in palm beach county. more

My husband and I went to Asian Fin on a recommendation and, as sushi lovers, we were looking forward to a great experience - unfortunately, we were really disappointed.\r Our first roll was a choice from the specials menu - the King Kong roll, which was sounded awesome: spicy king crab with avocado and cilantro and topped with wild salmon. For $18, we were served six small pieces of sushi filled with dry, old crabmeat (no spicy mayo at all) and topped with fishy salmon and a mysterious, gross yellow sauce (what I'm guessing was supposed to be the "cilantro" because it had some sort of green flakes floating in it but it tasted nothing like cilantro). \r We debated leaving but we had already ordered two more rolls so we stuck around, less than optimistic about what would be served.\r The rock shrimp tempura roll and tuna california roll weren't bad but we still weren't impressed for $15 each. The rock shrimp tempura roll was listed on the menu to be served with a spicy aioli but instead was served with a little dish of bottled sweet chili sauce. And the cold tuna roll was served on a hot place, which wasn't very appetizing.\r Overall, we were bummed to have gotten our hopes up for something so mediocre. In fact, we've had better, fresher-tasting, and more creative sushi at RA. We probably should've guessed by the lack of a crowd at 8pm on a Saturday night. Don't waste your money. more

I went to Asian Fin and ordered a hot tea pot. I had about a cup and a half when I realized there was a cockroach floating around in my tea. I was horrified that I actually drank the tea, and even more horrified that the owners didn't even care! My server asked that the owner come over and talk to me and they said that there was nothing they could do and just took off my meal, which I only ordered a sushi roll. No free dessert, no free drink. They could care less, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Management is terrible, they weren't even nice when we walked through the door, we asked to sit in a nice seat and they would only make us sit at the sushi bar. Such an expensive restaurant, it's not even worth it! more

I have been to Asian Fin several times and vowed my last time I'd never go back. While the food is average the service is horrible and they treat their customers as if they are lucky to be there, well that is unless your an early 20's club type who drinks one bud light an hour and leaves with a $20 tab. I think the owners a bit confused on the clientele and atmosphere she's trying to create. The Sushi Jo concept has been done already. I was really hoping for something more out of this place...... more

My favorite sushi restaurant around. I am very picky about the quality of my fish! It's always excellent quality. Also they have excellent apps & entrees. I would highly recommend this place. more

This place is bad. We order a volacno and what was served was a califorina roll with what tasted like can tuna. I have to say this was the worst sushi we have ever had and one of the most expense. Pubix does it better and I don't like pubix sushi. more

best way to describe....OVERRATED! Don"t waste your money! more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 5/21/2010

What a sham! This restaurant serves mediocre sushi at ridiculous prices ($15 for a roll) and does it all with fair service. The management could not care less about the satisfaction of the customers that are overpaying for what they are getting. I would SERIOUSLY discourage anyone from wasting their money in this restaurant. more
