The first thing that I liked about Ascent Audiology & Hearing was that the other clinics I had used were with an ENT doctor and going to an audiologist instead really cuts back on time. You never have to wait to see the doctor.
Dr. Craig seems to be very knowledgeable. At first I was apprehensive, but he kept saying I would adjust to the new hearing aids. I was used to my old ones and wanted the new ones to be like them. He was right. As time went on I adjusted and now I can hear even better than before.
I like the office help as well. She's really cordial. It's not a great big place. He has somebody else helping him now, which will probably be good too. Every appointment I have he's been really prompt. He's gotten me in, taken care of business, and gotten me out of there.
I know a lot of people that I go to church with, who are older than me, will say that they just can't adjust to the new hearing aids. I've encouraged them to go to him. I think he'd really be able to help them out. I'd love to be the poster child for these hearing aids.
A lot of older people will also say that they're too expensive. You're getting the whole package at Ascent, though. It's worth it to go ahead and get the top of the line. It really made a difference for me. I still have trouble on the phone a bit, but part of that's my fault--it's my telephone.
Dr. Craig just continues to work with anything I have a problem with. I've worn hearing aids for eight or nine years. The first doctor I saw would send me on my way and if I had trouble, I went back. Dr. Craig does a lot of follow up every few months. At first I went in every two weeks, then I went in once a month, and now I go in every three months.
