After meticulously searching through magazines and online for a floral designer for my recent wedding, I narrowed the hundreds of possibilities in NYC just a handful. I visited each one, and Blumes flowers was by far the most creative and tasteful of them all. artistry in flowers is full of energy, ideas, and talent. On my first visit, I described to her a general idea of what I wanted. She pulled a few flowers out of the refrigerator and made an absolutely stunning small arrangement in just a few seconds. From that second, I knew that I could trust her taste and expertise. You never have to worry about fern and baby's breath here, they only have the finest quality flowers and will never stick in the cheesy filler. The shop is filled with high end flowers: orchids, peonies, hydrangeas, exotic roses, exotic leaves and branches, and lots more that I had never seen before (and don't remember the names of).
As far as cost, I was a bride that wanted my wedding flowers to look like $20,000 but only budgeted $3,000. (Okay, a little exaggeration... but not much.) Susan gave me what looked like $20,000 in flowers. The entire event was absolutely gorgeous. Everything from the bouquets, ceremony, cocktail tables, centerpieces was more than I could have imagined, and I consider myself to have very expensive taste. Any and all brides in the Los Angeles are, you must must MUST visit www.artistryinflowers.com and meet with Angela !! The best quality and design for your money!! (Trust me, I had consultations with a lot of the high end florists that advertise in the premier bridal magazines: they were so overpriced, and re-used their creative ideas in almost all of their weddings.)
On top of all of this, Susan and all of the assistant designers and even delivery people are so nice and fun to be around. I would literally stop by the shop whenever I'd pass by and spend hours inside. Such a fun place to be, and great people to be around!!
Pros: creativity, great quality and selection of flowers
