Art of Modern Dentistry - Michigan Ave.

I live in the South Loop and tried out a few dentist. AMD was great. They found issues that my last dentist overlooked. Sheri the business manager is great also. She really knows her stuff when it comes to dealing with insurance companies. I would highly recommend them to all. more

is this a dentist or a spa? its a denti-spa. i used to avoid the dentist but no longer do i dread my semi-annual cleanings. the art of modern dentistry rocks! they have modern facilities, flat screen tv's for every chair and crazy new tech stuff for procedures. i love that they have centrally located offices in the south loop and up north in lincoln park with saturday hours that work well in with my busy life style. the dentists and staff are super friendly and helpful. i had questions about my upcoming appointment and my pre-estimates of services from my insurance agency. all i had to do was call them up and Sheri? was more than helpful and answered all of my 20 questions. she noticed something funny with my insurance coverage and she went above and beyond what she had to do for me. she took one step further and called my insurance company directly to make sure that i was completely covered. more

I discovered a great dentist office in my neighborhhood. I woke up with a killer tooth pain a couple of weeks ago and didn't have a dentist. On my way to the store to buy some Orajel and I saw the office. The were all so nice and basically walked me through the process. Great place!! more

I was suprised by how comfortable they made going to the dentist feel. They were very thorough and involved you in the process by some advanced technology that I wasn't used to at an old dentist. I would recommend Art of Modern Dentistry (Michigan Ave) to anyone looking for a dentist. more

It was my first time at The Art of Modern Dentistry at 1339 S. Michigan and the experience was excellent. i found the place by coincidence when walking by one time and I'm gald I made the appointment. The staff was very helpful from the front desk to the dentist who examined me. more

I have been to The Art of Modern Dentistry South Loop Location (1339 S. Michigan Ave) several times now and cannot express how pleased I am! Going to the dentist is not generally an experiece someone is looking forward to, however having dental work done here was easy and painless- literally. The office itself is lovely, welcoming and relaxing. Sheri the office manager found a way to make everything work out for me as far as working around my schedule for appointment and is very helpful and knowledgable. My dentist is Dr. Tosio and she is just great. Overall, I feel very comfortable there and I am pleased with my dental work. It is not far from the Roosevelt red line and parking around the office is not difficult. It's a great place and worth checking out! more

Just walking past the modern facade of the office made me want to choose this dentist office (and the close proximity to my home), but I'm glad I did because not only was Sheri, the office manager, extremely welcoming and cheerful, but the whole visit was comfortable. It's great to have a great dentist right across the street from my eye doctor too. I told friends I could probably live in the bathroom alone - beautiful art throughout the office and VERY new, clean, modern interior design (and beautiful too). I did receive a few text appointment reminders which were great...no need to listen to voice mail. My dental hygienists were very nice and asked about any discomforts during the entire visit before and after. The dentist was amazingly concerned about keeping me aware of what he was doing and even gave me a lesson on my bad habits. I thought I could have done without the prep talk, but I know I needed it and I'm glad to know I now have a dentist office who actually cares about my health. During my 2nd appointment, I overheard Sheri talking to a woman about a dental treatment she was having difficulty with, and Sheri even offered to text message her in the mornings to remind and encourage her...now THAT is unheard of excellent patient care and one of the reasons I know I'll be a long-time patient. more

Okay, so don't think I am crazy, but I love going to my appointments at the Art of Modern Dentistry. (Yes I said it, I like going to the dentist!) I go to their office on South Michigan Ave (which is really convenient to get to by walking, bus, the L, and even driving since they offer free parking validations). The Office Manager Sheri is beyond helpful with insurance, appointments, scheduling, she is even helping me work out a payment plan! She's amazing. I see Dr. Tosiou and really like her. She educates you about what is going on and makes sure that you fully understand what she is doing. I love that! The dental assistants are also really knowledgable and nice. The office is amazing! When you walk in it feels more like a spa than a dental office. The office is very open, clean, and modern feeling. I worked at a dental school for years and know that this office is state of the art! They have huge plasma screen tv's there to show you your x-rays on while you are still in your chair (and for you to watch the planet earth series or Discovery). The music is what I would play from my ipod... Dave Matthews, Guster, David Gray, etc. all great acoustic choices. I would definitely recommend this dental office to anyone who is looking for somewhere new, or who wants to change offices because the staff and care are unbelievable here! more

Great location, friendly staff (especially Sheri) and nothing beats watching Planet Earth on flat screens while getting your teeth drilled! I came to Art of Modern Dentistry after a recommendation from my co-worker, and I will continue to recommend this place. Not only do they have two convenient locations, but they listen to your concerns (mine was cost) and help to work it out with you. Most doctors or dentists I have been to recently don't do any of that. I will keep coming back for my teeth needs! more

I highly recommend Art of Modern Dentistry. The staff is very friendly, professional, and feel like family. Sheri, the office manager, is very polite, sweet, organized, and helpful. Sheri will make sure that your appointment do not interfere with your schedule. The dentist there are very thorough and care about the health of your mouth. They inform and explain to make sure you understand whats wrong and how to permanently correct it. This has been the best dental office that i have ever been to and will continue to go back. more

I have just joined this dentist as I was very disappointed by my former one. My wife referred me to this dentist as she found it really good. They have all the modern ""toys"" a dentist needs, so the name is not just a gimmick. Great interior design by the way. more

I moved from Toronto recently. I was uneasy about finding a ""new"" dentist. One of the best things that has happened to me since my move is finding Dr. Sirin. He is professional, caring and kind. Three great attibutes! more

They 'found' two cavities on a routine cleaning, which they then proceeded to show me on a television screen, and recommended that porcelein caps be installed for $600 each instead of a standard filling. In addition, they wanted to replace all of my regular fillings with composites. I am a health care professional myself, and being a little suspicious, I went to another dentist downtown. I didn't tell him I was diagnosed with two cavities at this place, and he stated that I clearly did not have any cavities. THAT IS RIGHT, THEY MAKE UP THE FACT YOU HAVE CAVITIES HERE! He explained to me that all the dentists here work on commission, so the dentists have to create more procedures. Most people come out of this place with a few thousand dollar treatment plan minimum. If you don't believe me, ask around. If after reading this review, you still want to go here, I don't know what else to say. more

When first walking in, I was very impressed by the zen feel of the office. The atmosphere was was relaxing, with water streaming from behind the front desk. Sheri was the first one to welcome us in. I'll have to say, coming from a customer service background, I was highly pleased with her professionalism and genuine care. I was even more so pleased to find that that professionalism was demonstrated by the rest of the staff as well. My overall visit there was one of the most comfortable experiences I've ever had at the dentist. In each room there are flat screen TVs that continuously play the nature channel. Everything was well organized, clean, and very well put together. My Dentist and Hygienist took the time to fully explain everything they were going to do that day, patiently answering any questions that arose. I've been back multiple times to this location and can't see myself ever wanting to go anywhere else. If you are looking for a place to go to completely change the way you once looked/felt about the dentist, the Art of Modern Dentistry on Michigan Ave it definitely the place to go. more
