We experienced 3 fantastic tours through Arnotts, again at excellent value. Mauna Kea sunset, waterfalls and the lava hike. more

Had a great time 9/2/2010

I had a great time staying at Arnott?s Lodge. Arthur (our tour guide) to the Lava was a excellence guide. The Lodge?s common area was a great place to meet and talk with the other travelers. The DVD?s movie room was a nice place to wind down during the evening. more

I would go back to Arnott's again 8/24/2010

We took one of the in-house tours up to the volcano and it was excellent with Mike the guide giving us plenty of information and bubbling over with enthuisiasm for Hawaii, the environment and it's people. I would go back to Arnott's again and would recommend it to friends. more

Far more than we had expected 8/19/2010

This was our first time to the big island and just wanted a clean and quiet air conditioned room to lay our heads at night. We ended up with far more than we had expected. The staff were friendly and engaging......they could not have been more helpful. more

I wanted to send a very overdue THANK YOU for everything the Arnott's team did to enhance our stay. We were the group of 14 cyclists who invaded you at the start and end of our fabulous Big Island tour between Oct 9 and 20. You have such a unique property that provides a remarkable place to stage such an adventure. During our previous (5?) stays my husband and I have never been there on a Saturday night, so to enjoy TWO beer and pizza nights was a real unexpected treat. To be able to deliver our bikes and store our boxes was customer service truly befitting the Aloha spirit. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when in Hilo. -Sheila and Russ more

This place was good value and they have everything you need. We stayed in a deluxe room which had nice firm matresses - something rare in a hostel- anyway i slept really well. the location was not bad....you can rent bikes and visit the beach nearby. we also took their tour to the mauna kea telescopes. our tour guide was Eldridge - who was most informative. he knew a lot about the area, history, geology, astronomy etc. he took great care of us. more

I loved Arnotts lodge even more then The Hilton & other fancy hotels Ive stayed in. I plan on taking my kids there to let them exsperience the Aloha feeling among the people there. Mahalo to Doug & all for your O'hana feeling more

On behalf of all the students, we would like to say a big thank you for your generous hospitality yet again. The tour was fantastic - the students really enjoyed Roberts commentary. Staff was great 7/29/2010

The staff was wonderful!! The tours to Volcanoes Park and Mauna Kea were breathtaking. Rental bikes really came in handy for a ride downtown. Movie theater was fantastic! more

This place was good value and they have everything you need. Tours are well ran 7/26/2010

excellent for the traveler on a budget. Me and my sister stayed here before. We went on two different tours and they were very well ran. This is a good way to meet people and make your trip more lively more
