Arlington Animal Hospital

I am in tears as I write this review. I was worried, looked up a 24hr vet and this hospital came up. I'm mad at myself because I usually look at the reviews, but this time I just wanted to get my dog help. I took my dog to this vet hospital tonight and what a mistake. I totally understand that it was after hours (830) and that it would cost more then usual. I asked if they gave a military discount because some places do, but the receptionist said they did not (worth asking). Especially when they showed me the bill, I was totally shocked at the astronomical amount that they charged us. I took my dog there for a small laceration on his leg. The Dr was nice, he looked at his leg and said oh that's small we can fix it with a couple stitches and local anesthesia, I was so relieved. When the receptionist showed me the invoice I could not believe the price and how they take advantage of people in need $500 for a small laceration. It's just awful and breaks my heart that a business would do this. You're there with your hurt pet and already sad, worried and anxious and then they take advantage of you and gouge you with a huge over priced bill. I felt horrible for the people in the waiting room after me, there dog seemed pretty bad and they seemed nervous too after they heard how much we paid. I'm sorry ever took my dog here and will NEVER be back. Please unless you have no choice don't bring your pet here. They will take advantage of you in your weak state and not bat an eye it's so sad. more

I dont know what the bad review below mine is about but, Ive never had a problem here. I came several times with my dogs and i have never waited or had any problems. The doctors are very understanding and the techs are very good at explaining everything they will do. Ive only been coming here for the past 6 months but i know I would NOT go anywere else more

Good service is always a big deal for me. The Price is always second. This hospital gave us both for a good price. Everyone was smiling from start to finish, and the doctor was extreamly welcoming and really seamed to care for my cats health. I have found my new doctor more

Have been there several time for two of my pets. I kept having bad experiences and thought they were having an "off-day". But it seems EVERYDAY is an off-day for them. From waiting for two hours even with an appointment to the hefty charges for mediocre service; I changed vets this year. Nice employees and "caring" vets does not equal good service. more

I have been coming to this hospital since i was 5 years old. It has changed alot but the love and compassion the staff has hasent. I have had many pets over the years and they all have been brought here. I wouldnt go anywere else more

In February 2008 Dr. Roy P. Saldanha did surgery on my little doggy's left knee. A week or so after, her cast came off and poor girl couldn't bend her knee. I just thought to myself she's just healing and soon she'll have full use or her knee for once without pain! When she went back for another check up we expressed our concern with her inability to bend it, he proceeded to examine the knee, said "well the patella is in place and that's just the way she likes to hold her leg, it must feel better like that." We believed & trusted him.... he made it VERY CLEAR TO US BEFORE WE PAID $2000 THAT HE STANDS BEHIND HIS SURGERIES & IF ANYTHING WENT WRONG HE WOULD REDO IT-hhmmmmmm??\r Well here we go... After her left healed, (still no ability to bend it) my mom and my naive young self went through with the right knee-$1600. I cannot tell you enough that it was a HUGE mistake, i can't forgive myself for going through with it. Once she healed, he told us how great her knee is doing and blah blah b more

Out of all the animal hospitals here in riverside, this hospital its the BEST! Everything is always clean, if a dog piddles or poos on the floor the staff is fast to clean it up. They always greet me with a smile and the doctors are always so upfront about what needs to be done with my pet. Its not the cheapest place but for good service i will pay more. more

I have been to most all low income vet hospitals and you get wat you pay for. This animal hospital is a bit expensive but you get excellent serivce. I was just there monday and the doctor i got was Doctor Liz. I was surprised by how much she cared for my pet. I was also surprised by how much the nurses cared for my pet too. I would strongly reccomend this animal hospital to everyone more

My experience was different than others who have posted here. The clinic was packed, and the staff members were rude. The vet was way too rushed and didn't pay enough attention to my seriously ill dog. I would not go back. more

They are great. The staff always greets me with a warm smile, and the doctors are always profecional. I wouldnt take my cat anywere else but here. Pros: Everything they do is amazing Cons: it does take a bit long to see the doc but all hospitals do more
