My experience with Arlex Driving School was fantastic. Mr. Garber was a very good teacher and Patt Hanscome, his assistant was always pleasant and helpful, going over and beyond her work to organize driving hours around our busy schedule. She understood our position and worked around it, and she did it with a very kind and professional disposition. She truly cares about the students and treats them with respect. I highly recommend this school. more

Arlex Auto School was the best driver's ed school!! The people were so nice and actually made the two hours of observation and driving every day fun. All of my friends who went to other schools would complain when they had driver's ed, but I looked forward to it every day! Mr. Garber taught my dad and my sister how to drive, and I hope the family will continue to go to Arlex because the instructors were so friendly, experienced, and helpful. Patti, who I saw most of the time behind the desk organizing and scheduling everything at the school, really cares that every student gets all of their requirements done and gets in to take their road test. We had the best experience with the people from Arlex Driving School, especially Pat! My son was one of the unfortunate casulties of Cam's Auto School mess (they closed their door without notice). Since they just shut their doors, we could not get any paperwork at all from Cam's. Arlex spent hours on the telephone with the RMV straightening out his problem. They really went the extra mile for us! My son also plays sports and they were more than accommodating to his schedule. I would recommend Arlex to all, my daughter will be signing up for classes shortly. Pat, thanks again for all your help. more

My two sons went to Arlex Auto School. We were very happy with the driving classes and instruction. The one week Summer session for classes was great. With our crazy sport and activity schedules we were constantly rescheduling our driving observing and instruction appointments. They were very patient and accommodating! They always returned my phone calls, and worked with me to get our appointments. Thank you Pat for helping us squeeze in the last driving appointment! more

When I attened Arlex after trying out Baystate auto school, i was taken in and treated just like every other kid at arlex, with compassion generousity, and they showed every student that one on one ratio that Baystate failed to show. With their quick and easy program i got my license in less than 1 month. The Garber's really had common sense and reasoning to the kids there and it really showed. With their teaching approach i can almost 100% guarentee that you wont fail the road test. and BEST of all the price is reasonable and way less expensive than the local driving school. BE WISE AND GO TO ARLEX AUTO SCHOOL more

This is the best auto school around. Both of my children have had an excellent experience. My second just got her license today, thanks to Arlex. The classes are so convenient,and the instructors taught with a great sense of humor. It is so clear they care about the kids and want them to be safe and do well. Their years of experience showed through and made things very smooth for both the student and parent. It is a nerve wracking time for a parent, and they were so reassuring and open to any and all of my questions. Both of my kids passed the permit and license with flying colors! I highly recommend Arlex for everyone! more

Thank you for a great set of classroom lessons and a fun,educative experience learning to turn the wheel for the first time. Admittedly, driver's education classroom hours are not the most stintillating hours of one's life, but Mr. Garber and Lorna have fascinating experiences and humor to share that make the class the best I could imagine it being more

Arlex auto school was one of the best driving schools i had looked at. They were very considerate when my daughter was ill and had to make up some driving classes. I would recommend this school. The teachers were great and very kind. Not one problem more

Had to give a rating, minimum one star, but I would give them an absolute ZERO. Arlex Auto Driving school has been practicing in front of my house and have been using my car for practice way too long now. It has to stop. Today I got such bad lip and rude behavior from the instructor of the ""driving school"" that it was shameful. He was totally unprofessional. It is not the kid's fault where he/she is taken to practice, but i would expect more courteous mannerism from the instructor. Shame, shame, shame. What are you teaching the students? Bad behavior? Find your kids a better driving school with professional and courteous instructors. more

I agree with all the reviews posted before. Find another driving school -- it's worth the extra money to have your child learn to drive with instructors who are respectful and who care about teaching, and to have an office staff that is organized enough not to lose your child's driving and observation hour records. We came to this school b/c it was less expensive than others, but have had nothing but headaches getting hours, getting returned phone calls, and getting an instructor who would teach rather than have the kids drive them around to do their errands (""wait here while I go in and get donuts and coffee""). Our teen's hours were complete, but the school ""lost"" their records so now we have no choice but to have the hours redone. We have been at this since the middle of 2008 and still can't get appointments for driving times. Without the driving hours recorded by the school we cannot make an appointment for a license test. It is the most frustrating experience and not worth the money we saved by signing up with this school. I would absolutely recommend that everyone find another driving school. I never guessed that driving lessons would be more difficult than navigating the academic process! more

it is impossible to get driving hours at this place, luckily I had my daughter do an intensive week of classroom hours but try to get actual hours for observation (what, 16 years isnt enough?) and for driving is an absolute nightmare! I have heard many complaints about the main guy's being rude to our kids, what sounds to me like a direct attack on younger kids just because he knows they will end up with their tail behind their legs and apologizing for nothing because the idea of ""respecting their elders"" has been ingrained in their brain. The people are imbociles and I would like nothing more than to get a refund but to no avail. Plus my daughter needs to get her license. go to another school, if their customer service does not change they can expect a call from my attorney, or maybe the better business bereau will be hearing of them Pros: reminds you of how great your job is in comparison to being a drivers ed teacher Cons: cannot begin to list these. more

I agree with these reviews. It is impossible to get a return phone call, impossible to set up appointments, and the man who appears to run the school is borderline rude! Once they get your money ... forget it! more

this was our first experience in driving schools for our children. i have been very disappointed. the owners seem nice enough, but they are IMPOSSIBLE to reach. we have been trying for MONTHS to get our son's driving hours so that he can get his license. as though one doesn't have enough to do in life, both my son and i repetitively call and leave unanswered messages in an attempt to complete his few driving hours. no one ever seems to answer the phone, and call backs can take a week or more. then, the owner 'doesn't know' when he'll be available, and asks you to call back! i'm a physician, mother of three .... is this really necessary? more

Staff is not accommodating and can be very difficult to work with. Good luck trying to get driving hours and once you sign up, you better not need to reschedule an appointment. The owner of the school is incredibly unprofessional and shouldn't be in business. I'm sure if we had more driving schools in the area, this guy would be out of business. Trust me, sign up at a different driving school. This one is not worth the aggravation. Very disappointed. Cons: EVERTYHING more
