This is a traditional Japanese Karate Association dojo. The chief instructor is Sensei Shojiro Koyama, 8th Dan, Shotokan Karate. The emphasis at this school is the development of precise and powerful basic techniques. Benefits of training include stress reduction, weight control, aerobic conditioning, increased coordination, and increased flexibility. And, obviously, increased ability to defend yourself. The quality of the students at this school is exceptional, and they are helpful and interested in helping their fellow students advance in this art. And even more exceptional is the ability of Sensei Koyama, who has been in this country for 43 years teaching karate after graduating from the JKA instructor program, to teach this discipline. Older students are welcome.
