Argyle Grill & Tavern

Wow, we went here for the first time last month. The skirt steak I had was amazing. My friend liked his seafood dish as well. We had some chocolate dessert, it was delishh. However good the food was I don't think we'll return on a weekend night. It was extremely crowded and very, very loud. We were sat at a very small table in the dining room. It was way too close to the tables next to us, I hate that. Our waitress was fine, not very friendly but she got everything right. Sooo overall great food, not so great atmosphere unless of course you are at the bar throwing them back too! more

Looks beautiful from the outside and has a really nice ambiance; however, the food was terrible. I went there for my anniversary and thought it would be nice to treat myself to filet minion. I never thought such a fine piece of meat could be so bad. First, I asked for my meat medium-well, I received well done. Second, the sauce wasn't very good. After eating 1/3 of the meat (cutting it thinking maybe the middle would have some pink) I informed the waitress. She came back after speaking with the chef and told me, ""sorry, there's nothing we can do"". I've been to sports bars that have been more consideration of my satisfaction. I give the entire experience an F. If you must go there the pomegranate martini was delicious. Too bad the bartender wasn't cooking the food! Pros: ambience Cons: food more

I cannot not believe that the place was so busy, oh right that was the bar, you coudl'nt hear anyone talking in the dinning room, probably because the food stunk. more

This restaurant has good food, not great. This is also a little expensive for dinner. I normally go for happy hour any day of the week. They have GREAT watermelon martinis with fresh watermelon slices on the rim of each glass. more

I ate here for the first time 2 years ago and couldn't get enough of it. Everything was so good for a price worth paying. I've probably eaten here 30+ times. For the past year the prices have gone up and the food quality has gone down. I hardly go anymore because I've been very disappointed with the food the past 4 or 5 times and feel like the price is not worth it. Quite the opposite of 2 years ago. Also, this place is very noisy. Don't expect to have a conversation at your table unless you want to yell at each other. Go for lunch first and decide if you want to go back for dinner. more

Awesome gathering spot, the chef does an incredible job. Must try the Chilean Sea Bass or the marinated porterhouse steak. Fantastic watermelon martini's and a great wine list. Service is friendly and efficient. The decor is warm and inviting. Definetly recommend this restaurant located in the quaint little village of Babylon. Pros: Awesome food, great martini's, great looking Cons: can be noisy, very crowded, no reservations more
