There are some great neighborhoods in Dayton, and living in them have benefits, like neighborhood tradespeople. Archie's Shoe Repair, on Watervliet in Belmont, is one of these spots. Old Archie will fix just about anything leather--your coat, your shoes, your purse. He'll sew on buttons, polish your shoes, fix your soles, etc. He won't charge you much for doing it, and he loves to chat.
Stop moving to the suburbs and come back to good neighborhoods with good old fashioned services!
