I was pretty surprised when my brother-in-law suggested we try Arbor Vitae for lunch one summer afternoon. Both my husband and brother-in-law are happy meat eaters, but this was a rather vegetarian-leaning shop. I ordered a tuna sandwich, which contained a deadly amount of onion. The food wasn't amazing by any standards, and though my party was happy, we weren't amazed by the prices or the service. It took three requests to get the iced coffee that I ordered, and even then, the employees seemed pretty aloof. Their selection of goods for purchase and their coffee looked good though, so make your own judgment.
