My uncle got a bad chest infection following a bout of pneumonia. His doctor told him that the only way he could go home was if he was on oxygen all the time due to the damage that had been done. We checked around and the folks at Apria were very easy to talk to and understood our needs. My uncle is not the most cooperative person in the world and we worried that he would not follow the directions for using the oxygen like he was supposed to. On the day he got home the Apria staff was there in just a few hours. Both a technician to set up the equipment and a respiratory therapist came. They spent almost two hours going over things repeatedly with my uncle until they were sure that he knew how to use all of the equipment and to call them if he had any problems. In the months since then the Apria folks check in often and even call my sister-in-law to let her know that things are going ok or if something needs changed. The Apria staff really do go the extra mile to care for their customers.
