I would suggest people go to one of the other doctors in their LaPorte office. I have had good experiences with both Dr. Andrew and Dr. Blomstedt. Much more professional. Dr. Applegarth currently has a ""no-show"" policy which is counter to what I have ever experienced from other health professionals. \r \r Here is how it works:\r \r Regardless of whether you cancel in advance or not, you are charged a $25.00 no-show fee. The larger issue is that he flatly refused to accept payment on this ridiculous fee over the phone, but instead insists payment be made in-person at his office. \r \r He refuses to change this policy in spite of the inconvenience and frustration is creates for his patients, claiming he has plenty of patients.\r \r We will see if people continue to frequent his medical practice as his Customer Service Programs STINK.\r \r Pros: Decent Medical knowledge Cons: Arrogant, Claims to ""have plenty of customers"" more

Appears more concerned with Business than caring for patient's health. They do not accept electronic payments, when questioned stated they wanted to save the $00.40 per transaction...they overbilled my insurance and during dispute turned to collection, even after contacted...I strongly recommend not going to this practice! more
