A Local favorite for years 6/21/2007

Anthony's is truly hard to beat. The seafood is wonderful and the atmosphere makes it worth the little extra cost. If it is nice enough, you can sit outside on the patio and listen to the fountain in the middle of the lake, it is very peaceful. If you are seated inside, get a table by the window, you will be sitting over the lake and the view is really nice. I currently live in NM, but am a native San Diegan hoping to move back soon. We make a trip out several times a year and never miss stopping at Anthony's. more

This restuarant has a wonderful atmosphere. The appearance is that of being underwater, with fish dangling from the ceiling, eels and coral sticking out of the walls, even the table has rock type holders for the salt and pepper shakers to sit in. The restaurant overlooks a small lake in the back and has scrumptious seafood. more

Great sea food in La Mesa 1/14/2006

You wouldn't think it just driving by this restaurant that's nestled in a neighborhood, that it's a nice restaurant with a spectacular pond. This restaurant is the original location and has been updated recently to have patio seating. The food is good and plentiful and you can sit inside an enjoy the view of the water and the kids feeding the ducks on the rocks. The wait staff is great and answers any questions you may have about the entrees. A great restaurant for a special occasion or graduation. The entrees are pricey but it's great sea food. On your way out they have fish that you can buy and take home. The grounds are beautiful and parking is plentiful and never a problem. more
