Highly recomended, great owner and talented staff! I was welcomed as soon as I stepped foot into the salon! (warm, small and VERY friendly atmoshphere) This salon is soo easy to get to, only 1 exit from Boston, and did I mention FREE parking... I should also mention that the gym is only 2 steps away, after my appt w/ Marta and Anthony I couldnt help but to sigh up as well! Everything I need is in this building even a caffeteria! I cannot tell you how long I waited to find a salon like Anthony Capalino Salon! It is not everyday you find a salon that gives you the comforting salon experience while offering a stylist that is not only professional but extremely satisfying with both a cut and color! The experience I had at Anthony Capalino was remarkable! Debralee was my stylist and was extremely impressive with her creativity and knowledge of products. Everything from the chic, modern design to the friendly and energetic staff, gave me the feeling of relaxation. The feeling everyone needs and looks when treating themselves to a hairstyle. Debralee knew exactly what it was I wanted and more importantly what suited me best without me having to explain too much. The environment was radiant and comforting from the beginning to end. I am so happy to have found a salon that gives you a Newbury Street experience without the high prices and inconvenience. It is everything I could ask for in a salon and I would highly recommend it to anyone!! more

I finally found the stylist I have been looking for all these years; Anthony Capalino. He is the best!! I wasnt sure what to expect when I made my appt weeks ago but I must say after years of getting mediocre haircuts at salons up and down newbury st. , it was refreshing to walk into his salon. It has all the ambience of any other salon on newbury, minus the parking hassle. Anthony and his girls were accomadating as soon as I walked through the door ( they even offer chai tea lattes ). And as soon as I sat in Anthony's chair I felt comfortable. He listened to what I wanted and then tryed to guide me in the direction he knew would work best for my hair. This man is a genius! I highly reccomend him and the salon as a whole! I will be back for sure!! Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

Anthony Capalino Salon in Somerville is an AMAZING find!!! I had been going to a well known Cambridge salon for 2 years, and was pretty happy with my stylist. But, this past fall, the cut wasn't quite as good as the ones she had given me in the past. However, anyone can have an off day so I went back in January - but that visit was even worse. Horribly chunky, unnatural-looking layers/highlights... definitely not my style. I let it grow out, but knew I needed a change. After asking arSound and talking to others, I chose Anthony Capalino Salon - similar pricing to my Cambridge salon, and everyone I talked to LOVED it. So, I made an appointment with Debralee... amazing!! She listened to my concerns, asked me what I wanted my hair to do, asked me my styling routine, etc. Didn't try to talk me into something I didn't want, and sympathized with my highlight problem. She was very confident but not at all pretentious. And I have to say... she definitely knows hair! She gave me a great cut, medium - long layers that fell into place perfectly. And color-wise... my hair looks pretty again - lots of natural-looking highlights. I can't wait to go to work tomorrow and start hearing the compliments! Everyone at the salon was great, from the front desk staff, to the assistant to Debralee the magical stylist! I HIGHLY recommend Debralee and Anthony Capalino Salon!!!
