Answer Is Fitness

Lately, the whole gym smells like on big moldy dirty lockerroom. If you can get past that, the womens workout are, small to begin with, has recently been downsized further to accomodate personal training. If you cant afford it, oh well. Two machines I used to use are gone. Music is so loud you have to max up your ipod in this room as well. Also blaring in the ladies lockerroom too. Its b/c they only have one volume for the whole place despite the size of the room. Stuffy, chintzy w/ air conditioning. Oh and did I mention, the staff is the most unapproachable (unless you are personal friends) Never smile. WOW in Foxboro and the old Fitness Plus in No Attleboro are opening soon. Forget this place. I joined AisF 2 over 2 years ago. While the personal taining department can be pushy, I do agree with that mentioned by others, the gym itself is very clean, the staff is wonderful, the locker rooms, the daycare, all of it is top notch in my book. I'm not new to the gym, I've been in the for 20 years and am only in my late 30's, I know the difference between quality and not. They do a great job of meeting the needs of the members, offering a wide variety of classes at various times to suit everyone's needs and the playcare is the cleanest I have seen anywhere. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone who want s a quality polace at a very affordable price. Judging by the VERY large clientel they have, they are obviously doing something right. Prices can be high, but you get what you pay for. \r \r To the girl Darcy111 who said Fitness Plus is the best and has the best machines, you are joking right? I signed up there and never went after two weeks because it was dirty, the equipment was old and out of date and the playcare was filthy and smelly. They refused me a refund and took my money for an entire year! You definatley get what you pay for there at a mere $10-15 bucks a month. Pros: Clean, friendly, spacious, variety of classes at various times and excellent playcare center with great hours! Cons: Personal training can be pushy for recruiting clients. more

What ever you do don't sign the contract. I couldn't get to this Gym after a couple of months, There was no way that I could get out of this contract. You can suspend it but they will get there money at the end of your 2 year contract by still billing you for what ever time you suspended it for. When my contract was up I went in and cancelled my membership, I was told that I could still use the club till the end of October. When Nov came I noticed they charged me and my daughter ( she cancelled at the same time) for the month of Nov. Our Contract was up in Oct. I went in and spoke to the manager. He explained that they just automatically start you membership up again when your contract is up. I told him we had come in and cancelled the membership on Oct 7. Well there is a part of the contract that says you have to cancell within 30 of the next months billing. My billing goes in on Oct 5. They kept my money even though they had made plenty from my 2 year membership. I never felt comfortable there. Very unfriendly, arrogant. If your not sure of the machines they only can offer you a personal trainer. Another way for them to make more money.\r My suggestion is JOIN THE Y.M.C.A. I heard all the hype about Answer is Fitness so I had to check it out. I got to tell you, this place THINKS its the best gym around - its all in their head. The staff - the entire environment - makes you feel so uncomfortable. And the high pressure sales is really a turn off. They just do not stop! \r I went back to Fitness plus because they are really nice, I feel comfortable and it has the best equipment and people. It may not seem like the ""glitz and glam"" (thank god) but it has the best equipment around BY FAR and I can get a real workout. They have great personal training -I was so impressed. It has really helped me stay motivated and actually keep coming to a gym!\r I would not recommend Answer is Fitness to anyone who wants great equipment, great programing, great personal training - who just wants results. The overall gym facility is very clean, spacious and plenty of equipments with no waiting. However if you're a parents that needs day care this may not be the gym for you. The day care staff don't seem well experienced or has long term staff. The day care room does not seem child proof at all, open electrical outlets and cords in obvious place where a child can easily access it. I would be very skeptical about bringing my kids there.
