ive had better at non-steakhouses 12/23/2002

I ordered a six ounce aged filet the other night from Annie Gunn's. It came with yukon gold mashed potatoes and asparagus. Now I work at Cravings in Webster, and it blows Annie Gunn's away with the same food. Craving's has better filets that are more tender and flavorful, their mashed potatoes are far better and full of flavor, and they have the best asparagus I've ever had. On top of that Cravings is cheaper and the same quality if not better. I don't understand how Annie Gunn's even made the list. more

By far the best steak in St. Louis. I have eaten a quite a few places in town and Annie Gunn's is always a must on a trip to St. Louis. It is a bit pricey and hard to get in but definitely worth the trouble. Cons: little pricey, hard reservations more

Best Lunch in Town! 11/30/2002

I've eaten lunch here twice while visiting St. Louis (not counting the many visits to the Smokehouse for a tasty sandwich). While it is a bit on the pricy side, the food is excellent! The ambiance is great, and for both of my visits the service was fine. Meatloaf is to die for! more

Enjoyed our first visit to Annie Gunn's, and it won't be the last. It was a friendly place, good service, and a great steak. Also enjoyed the patato cake appitiser. more

amazing hunk of meat 9/4/2002

I went to Annie Gunns recently and had a good meal overall. I wasn't looking foward to it because I do not care for meat and potatoe restaurants normally. I ordered the Ribeye and fell in love. You would think by the way the people act at Annie Gunn's that you were eating at Hooters. Ex-jock businessmen in their 40's drinking heavily and yelling at top volume about what great cars they drive, reliving their glory days at high school and/or college pawing at the fake women hanging around in the bar. Unless that's your thing: go elsewhere. more

ANNIE GUNNS IS THE WATERSHED MARK THAT MOST GOOD, FAMILY OWNED (NON CORPORATE) RESTAURANTS TRIES TO MESURE UP TO. FOOD IS ALWAYS GOOD AND THE SERVICE IS ALWAYS TOP NOTCH.
