Run away! Take you beloved pet elsewhere 7/24/2014

Horrible! Please avoid this place. We took our dog to them Friday night after hours with an obvious injury. Alice Smith looked at him and summarily sent him home. No x-rays, nothing. We found a vet open the nest (Saturday) AM that quickly confirmed a severely broken leg that requires pins and surgery. Cannot fathom how this place was so incompetent they couldn't see this. Yet, they charged us $146 to essentially turn us away. My guess is the vet needed to get to her lake house early Saturday and couldn't be bothered with the nuisance of servicing our pet. Yet, no issues charging is handsomely for the 4 minutes of neglect. If your pet is part of your family, as ours is, go elsewhere, even 100 miles if necessary, to someone who cares. Most vets do. Not these wakeful people. more

So disappointed in the service from Dr. Gale (zero stars) 8/25/2013

I took my puppy there for treatment after she begin vomiting and became very lethargic. Dr. Gale stated that she had a 104 temp. I requested to have x-rays done. She stated that things basically looked normal and that I should take her home and just "monitor" her to make sure she doesn't vomit again. While my dog was back there she assured me that she was doing better. She stated that she was walking around and wagging her tail. But when she brought her out to be discharged, I knew that couldn't be right. My puppy was in distress. Being that it was my first dog, I took her home, and monitored her. The next day at 5:30 am, my 10 month old was dead. I payed 170$ for the visit and X-rays, and 55$ the next morning to have her creamated. I wish I had known what I know now, about Dr. Gale. My co-workers told me she is known to not care. I spoke with some of the ladies who work in the vet field, and they told me that my puppy should have had some type of antibiotics. They knew she had always kept a good bill of health and was up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. They stated that it was obvious that she had an infection. If only I had known.. Don't take your pet there, if you can help it. more

dont take your dog to this clinic! 6/28/2013

brought my dog to be treated and ended up dying from a simple laceration when i took him home (5 hours after).uncompetent vet, Dr. Gale never made sure that he is stable enough to go home.i believe they overdosed him with anesthesia which ofcourse they claimed they never sedated him.but he was out when i left with him and never woke i called 2 days after, to let them be aware of what happened , vet wont even talk to me and the assistant never even cared that i lost my dog no 'sorry for your loss" or whatsoever, wont ever take any of my dogs there ever again. more

I never was so offended 6/30/2010

Good: Nothing about the customer service or care. Bad: I took my do after she had been hit, Myself and children had be hurt so deeply. I was told that they could not save her, but the hurting part was I was asked my the doctor there if I could leave my children while I picked cash to pay for the service.. Improvements: A another clinic that could respect loss and not judge by race how they cared for my pet. Other: I wish I would have not been treated like it was the 1920's when I went ot this clinic. So, I am black, but I loved my dog and could pay for services. more

A lifesaver... 4/12/2006

When I first got Ace, my dog, he got horrible stomach sickness. Since he hadn't completed all his parvo shots, I rushed him to the Animal Emergency Clinic on Sunday morning. I was expecting a huge bill, only to be pleasantly surprised by $70 for a parvo test (negative!) and prescription dog diet food. My cat had an abcess on her foot from a cat fight when she lived outside. I rushed her to the emergency clinic they took an x-ray and gave us antibiotics and were very prompt and thorough. I've never had to wait, or felt like I was silly for coming in on the weekends. They are very understanding and calm, which is great in an emergency. more
