I can't that you were in the same store and I have been in....many many times. The staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. I have never been asked to adopt anything... As a business owner, I can say, NOT every store has to adopt the practices of every other large chain store. Each small business gets to make up the return policies as they see fit. more

this shop is one of a handful in all of california where the pet store supports their animal rescue. the owner works 7 days a week for no salary, so to suggest she tried hard to sell you an animal is pure nonsense, they go to homes after an application is filled out and a homecheck is done, and no money is asked for, you must have been shopping at a store you don't recall. more

This is a fantasic place to buy your pet supplies and save pets at the same time! Go in or call and speak with Craig or Gina. Their profits help save animals everyday and find them new forever homes! I have been shopping at Animal Crackers for 1 yr. It is clean, well-stocked and the proprietor is extremely knowledgeable on products and pets issues. There is also a well-managed, convenient grooming service which books up quickly so call for an appointment. I have seen folks stop by for a 'quickie' nail trim who have been graciously accommodated. How's that for service? :-))) My favorite thing about the store is that it does NOT sell animals only supplies. Many dogs/cats have been placed in forever homes through Animal Crackers. I think in this day and age, everyone of us should be part of the solution...not the problem. This establishment is leading the way and setting an excellent example of doing the right thing. Adopt, don't shop but if you need pet product, Animal Crackers is the place to go in Laguna Beach! Pros: easy parking, can bring your pet in to shop with you. Cons: none more

Dear Dissatisfied, who ever you are you need to get your head checked out. Animal Crackes is the only place to shop. FYI they do not sell animals they do "RESCUES" and unlike other Rescue groups they do not charge a penny for any of the pets, they don't even ask for donations. All the pets that get adopted get a care package when they leave. They also get "FREE" grooms for a year. I have been shopping there for 3 years and have returned many items with no problem. I live in Costa Mesa and drive to Animal Crackers. Every pet supply & Grooming store should be as good as them. You must be a real ASXXXXX. more

I have been working there for 2 years now. Everyday that i've been there we have saved over 189 dogs by given them new homes. Most of these dog were negleted or abused.Also the owner knows alot about pets. I would definetly recommend anyone to this store who has any question about there pets and even there health and the grooming is great too Pros: great service more

If you buy something here that doesn't work out for your pet, the owner will not even issue a store credit (as other establishments do). Furthermore, she tries to pressure you into buying a dog from her each time you go in. This establishment isn't licensed to sell animals, but does so under the guise of "rescue." When I told her I didn't appreciate being pressured to buy a dog, she told me to "shop somewhere else then." I sure will! more
