Dana Anderson and Anderson Poolworks in Sherwood, OR Ripped us OFF! Dana Anderson took our deposit Check in June 09 promising to have the pool finished in 12 weeks... 12 months Later and the pool is not finished. \r \r Dana Anderson or his daddy bruce or anyone who works with him is not answering our phone calls, our emails get sent back. They did not maintain our pool after filling, never showed us how to clean it nor give us the cleaning equipment included in the price we paid. Poor service overall. \r \r We thought going with what seemed to be a trustworthy family run business with lower prices was the way to go but now we see that you get what you pay for. We got scammed \r and we do not want to see this happen to another family in Sherwood, OR area!\r \r Now we have to hire another pool company to finish the job! Our pool is leaking water,we got the wrong heater installed and the subcontractor threw taco bell sauce wrappers in our driveway. This is ridiculous.. Unprofessional and Unacceptable. It is sad to see that this had to happen but we have no other choice than to let others know what happened to us so it does not happen again.\r \r Please use a more trustworthy company such as cascade pools here in Portland, OR.\r \r Buyers beware. Please don't get scammed like we did.\r more

Anderson Poolworks mixes innovation and quality 11/21/2011

We recently contracted Anderson Poolworks to do repair on an existed pool, children's water feature and waterslide. Jason Schallock, the project manager came up with many innovative ideas to improve the usability and the ""wow factor of the pool"". Our original waterslide finish was an ongoing problem, it routinely got to the point of becoming so rough skin burns would occur, We spent much $$$ and time through different companies trying to find a solution to our problem. When G2 Outdoor Living recommended we try Anderson Pools, Dana Anderson was incredibly prompt in assessing our needs and Jason Shallock, the project manager, quickly came up with a solution that has turned out perfectly! He was crafted a wet pad with fibre optic lights and spray that exceeded our expectations as well..From the tile, and newly finished interior of our existing pool, the faux rock enhancements well as the new modernized equipment is eco friendly and maintains the water with less chemicals, we are highly highly impressed. You do have to pay for quality, but quality, professionalism and courtesy is what you will get. more

Anderson Poolworks Exceeds our Expectations! 11/14/2011

We recently selected Anderson Poolworks and are very glad we did. We are 1st time pool owners unfamiliar with the process. Dana and his teeam provided a detailed rendering and presentation of the cost to help us understand the process. We got multiple bids for our pool project, Anderson was not the cheapest but in the end provided a product that is nothing short of amazing. Not only is the final product amazing but the staff along the way and after has been great. I would definately recommend Anderson Poolworks to anyone interested in a quality in ground pool. more

Would NEVER use Anderson Poolworks 4/20/2010

In 2008 we began a pool renovation. We were 1st time pool owners…clueless as to the process. We interviewed several contractors. We hired Anderson. They were not the lowest bid, but had a sales pitch that we fell for. They are smooth talking and know how to close a deal. However dealing with them was painful from the beginning of the project. They filled our pool on a Friday and left us no information on how to work it. Until I reached them on Monday and then was billed another $650 to help set it up. The most recent issue was flaws (rust spots) in the Quartz finish & cracking waterline tile. We began asking them to repair both in the summer of 09. Brody told us to wait cause they would need to drain the pool below the water line tile and we couldn’t’ use it for several days. He’d fix the rust spots in the Quartz finish at the same time in the fall. After 9 months and no less than 10 calls they have fixed the rust spots, but are refusing to fix the waterline tile. According to Brody epoxy is the “new way” to fix it. Instead of removing the broken tile and reinstalling as promised we are expected to accept a “band aid” to the problem. Per Brody this is NOT how it was going to be fixed. But now he claims that it’s my problem and I have a faulty tile line and to fix he’d have to remove the entire section of pool deck. After calling around and doing some research I found 2 things, 1st they are wrong and this tile should be removed and the problem fixed as it is still under their 3 year warranty, 2nd this is their norm of doing business, they do not stand behind their product. BEFORE hiring Anderson check out the CCB and look at some of the other clients that have posted similar stories to the web. Pros: Great sales, smooth talking Cons: Terrible customer service, Don't Stand Behind Product more

they built my dream pool! 7/8/2009

before starting my swimming pool project I decided that there were some specific things I wanted: new technology, energy savings, professionalism and that ""wow"" factor in my backyard. After speaking with the anderson's I knew I had the right guys for my dream pool. From the very beginning they blew me away with the ""possibilities"". New equipment that could cut down on my energy costs, water features that would turn my back yard into a resort. Their attention to detail was amazing. Seeing is believing, if you want the best pool you can build, call the Anderson's. Pros: very professional, cutting edge of new technology. more

We do NOT recommend Anderson Poolworks! 3/28/2009

Concerning the reputation of Anderson Poolworks out of Sherwood, OR I decided to do my own research. I’ve found out that Anderson Poolworks has a far worse reputation then I initially thought. They have many unsatisfied customers and several complaints with regulatory agencies. I would definitely not recommend that anybody hire Anderson Poolworks to construct a swimming pool of any kind.\r \r Furthermore, I signed a contact in June 2008 and my pool is still not finished. Only about 2 days of work is needed to complete, but Anderson Poolworks will not come out to finish. The quality of the work has been mediocre, and without me staying on top of them along the way, it would be horrible. Every single step has been delayed by Anderson Poolworks, and not by weather. They delay orders, then order the wrong parts, make excuses and then stop returning calls. I have a long list of issues with them which I will not outline here, but after going through this process, I would suggest you choose a different contractor.\r more
