Who's big idea was it to bowl in the dark? They should be shot! 1/17/2008

good bowling ball selection compared to other bowling sites in the area. nice bar. nice people. the lanes are 100% better than Hollywood Bowl and is always less crowed. i rarely have a problem acquiring a lane. Pros: good house rolling devices to knock down pins (this site won't let me type in the word b#lls), open lanes Cons: games cost too much more

Best place in Portland Metro 8/13/2006

This place rules. A bit run down, but that adds to the charm. Old-school score keeping computers, surprisingly good food, great service, good bar and good music being played (provided you dig rock). They really put a priority on customer service. The person at the front desk ran over to set up the computer. The cook came out twice just to make sure we were happy with the food (it IS bar food, so don't expect fine dining, but it is well executed bar food). We never ran out of beer. We have been to other Portland lanes, Beaverton and even the 'couve and have been constantly disapointed by crowds, crappy service or other annoyances. Not a problem here. Pros: Good service, good food, plenty of lanes Cons: A bit run down, but that is part of the charm more

A little rundown but still lots of fun 11/18/2005

AMF Pro Lanes is sort of a flashback to the 1970s, a little funky and rundown, but it has a good bar and fresh fries. Their prices are reasonable and they have several leagues, for amatuers and self-professed horrible bowlers. It is a good place to take a group of kids, they are very family friendly. You can see sideburned hipsters as well as toddlers bowling and AMF does it very nicely. Their restrooms are very clean and they play decent music. Best to visit on the weekends! more

Nice family spot 7/12/2005

I've been here a couple of times and enjoyed myself. They are located off of a main street with plenty of parking. The prices were reasonable enough but I'd like to see more specials. They were helpful. PROS: Good family atmosphere CONS: Prices could be better more

pro 300 rocks! 1/21/2003

staff are dedicated, nice, open, real, and fun! great place if you have a small hook. easy to get a lane (lots of lanes). extreme bowling is better than other alleys i have bowled at (it's darker and better light shows). food is not awful. little smokey at times when bowling on lanes down by the bar. Pros: staff, easy to get lanes, leagues Cons: older lanes, smokey by bar lanes more
