Good Experiences 3/24/2011

First off, of course if you get the better lenses, etc. the cost will go up. Since I wear my contacts 90% of the time, I like having the 2 frames to choose from for those days I choose to wear my glasses. As the glasses are really back up, the inexpensive plastic lenses are fine.\r \r I have been going there for years with no extraordinary waits, especially if I make an appointment early in the morning and not on a weekend. This past visit they did accidentally order my old prescription for my contacts; the glasses were fine. They immediately ordered the correct prescription and after a simple request gave me a sample pair of contacts in the correct prescription to use until my boxes arrive. more

I had an awesome experience! I called in and they got me in that day! it only took a few min for everything as well i told them i was there for the 69.99 deal yes they do try to sell you more just like any ad on t.v. I was very stern no just the 69.99 is all i wanna pay and that was all i had to pay for 2 pairs of glasses and a eye exam no tax! Were els can you get a deal like that! It was amazing i will only go there for now on thats for sure! more

I was surprised to see the bad reviews. I have been going to America's Best in Ann Arbor for over 3 yrs and I've had nothing but good experiences with them.\r \r For the person who claims bait and switch---do you think you can get those added extras for free? Of course, you have to pay more for the anti-glare, or sunglasses, etc.\r \r The eye doctor spent a lot of time with me and my daughter explaining about toric lenses, and her eyes, as well as my eyes.\r \r We both got contacts as well as glasses this time. For the price, you can't beat it. We both had to go back 3 times because brand of contacts weren't comfortable and the dr worked with us to find the right ones. So, three extra visits and no extra charge.\r \r For families on a low budget, this is great. Not only is the price great, but I think the Dr. was very professional and went the extra mile for us.\r \r We never waited long for any of our appts. and the staff was friendly and courteous each and every time.\r \r Don't be so quic more

BEWARE OF HORRID BAIT AND SWITCH 5/2/2007

ABE I come to find out well after the fact have a very bad reputation for poor everything.\r \r I was made to wait an hour and a half for an exam I had an appointment for. The exam was very hurried and sloppy. The Dr. educated me about antirefliective coating, the only good thing to come out of this visit.\r \r Dr. left and put "D.A.W" on my Rx. This means "dispense as written". it was sneaky, he asked me if I agreed with him that I needed this coating. To this day I agree.\r \r I am made to wait another hour after the exam before I am seen by an optician, the person who helps with frames and processes your order. In all of the time that I had been made to wait at this place I started to notice that this place was packed with middle class mothers with multiple children in tow. There was a lot of talking going on about how the 'cheap plastic lenses' were dangerous for their kids, and that they should upgrade to the polycarbonate.\r \r So I have at this point selected 2 pair of frames, a more

American's Best Contacts 1/2/2007

America's Best - is the WORST Place to go for contacts - Don't ever go there - I had an appointment on January 24th for an eye appointment and to order contacts. The appointment took over two hours of my time. At that time I purchased a silver eye care club card. On March 5th, 29 business days after my first appointment, I received a call that the contacts I ordered were in. I went to the office on March 6th to pick them up, waited 1/2 hour to have someone give them to me. The wrong contacts were ordered for me. I wanted a soft annual contacts and I was given disposable contacts. I received a message on March 8th that the correct contacts were being ordered and I would receive them within 7-15 days. I never received a call. On April 5th I called the office. Apparently my contacts were never ordered and I have to wait another 7-15 days. It will be over three months from my first visit when I will hopefully receive my contacts. Customer Service is just horrible!! I wouldn't even give it more
