The american ski exchange is the place to rent. I went with two of my friends who had never skied before and the staff set them up with great pair of affordable rentals. I myself opted for the high end models which were suprisingly cheap as well. I actually met the owner Tom who told me he has been working there pretty much every day for the last 25 years. The store itself was pretty large and had everything from skiwear to tshirts to picture frames. I also picked up a new Helly Hanson jacket for 20 % off.
