This salon was well worth the time (to drive there) and the money. The Quality Grooming Package itself would be much more expensive at any Strip salon or spa. Everyone there is very friendly and the atmosphere is much different than a normal ""co-ed"" salon. You are given a complimentary drink when you arrive. The stylists are able to help you find a style that best suits you. They are very informative regarding products and techniques they use. I recently visited American Male for the first time and I definately will be back! The stylists are in a class all their own- all very knowledgable and skilled in their trade. The decor is cool- very masculine with movie posters and TVs. Completmetary beverages upon your entry into the salon and massage chairs while you wait for your appointment. I found my service to be well worth the money. I had the quality grooming experience and it was great. You get a haircut, massage and this hot wax on your hands that makes them soft. I found out they also do manicures and pedicures and you don't have to feel weird getting them done because there aren't any women in there- (just the stylists.)Definately go there for a great experience! Rod and his crew are amazing people. The service was outstanding and I would recommend them to anyone, anytime. They went above and beyond when I (mistakengly) took a cab for my appointment and then could not get a ride back to my hotel....... long story short the owner Rod Kerezsi took me back ..... no charge and ""no problem""! When was the last time you ever got service like this ........... So I needed to get a nice haircut for my new job. My girlfriend is a stylist back in WI, but she isn't around much, so I needed to find a good place. Originally, I was going to go to Blue Room Salon in Henderson, but after scheduling an appointment and driving there, nobody was there and the place was closed. \r \r So, I came back home and searched for a salon that cuts guys' hair within my budget. I found American Male. All they do is guys hair. Now, I have never been to a salon before, so this would be interesting. I was a little apprehensive at first, but it was sweet. My stylist was very friendly and pleasant. She sat me down and we discussed what sort of style I wanted. Then, she took me over to dip my hands in this hot wax stuff. It was cool, and your hands feel strangely relaxed. Then, they shampooed and conditioned my hair, gave me a mini facial, mini scalp massage, and a steam towel wrap on my face. Then, back to the chair to get my hair cut. They re-shampooed my hair, and dried it. All for $35 plus gratuity. I would definitely go back there again. more
