Why Do We Still Allow Monopolies? 12/29/2011

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Actually, make that ZERO customer service. Allied Waste Lynnwood is a monopoly and doesn't care about their "customers" in the least bit. If I had a choice in who removed my waste I would have left AW the first month after we moved to the area. They haven't picked up our garbage in two weeks now and we setup online auto pay a month ago. Trying to deal with the exceptionally ignorant people that work at this company is frustrating to say the least. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. We spoke with two different people during the last phone call and our account went from past due $7, to a credit of $14 during the same phone call! So why wasn't our garbage picked up? It really doesn't matter who you talk to here. Starr, Tina, Boyd...they are all equally clueless, belligerent and incompetent. It's looking like we are going to have to file a formal complaint with Steve, the garbage and recycling liaison for the city of Lynnwood, in order to speak with upper management at AW and figure out why it's so difficult for them to effectively communicate with us and do their job so that our garbage service isn't interrupted despite having a credit on the account. Pros: null Cons: null more

Worst Company I Have EVER Dealt With (Not Exaggerating)! 12/29/2011

It's ridiculous that in 2012 there are still American states/towns that don't have a choice in garbage service. Somebody's getting their palms greased nicely to keep this racketeering system going. WA needs to deregulate garbage service and allow customers to choose which company they give their business to! Monopolies are Bad. Very, very bad! If Allied Waste weren't a monopoly they would be out of business! more

Awful customer service 10/30/2008

I will never rent a dumpster from these guys again. I scheduled it for 2 days, and they left it in my driveway for 5. I called for 3 days before they finally came and picked it up, and they never returned my calls! In the meantime, I had to pay my contractor extra to work around the blocked driveway. When I got the bill, I'd been charged for 5 days! more
