I have seen Alka a few times for facials and what makes her special is that she really cares and does a through job. She has some wonderful equipment that she uses for your face and it makes you look like a movie star. Also, her extractions don't hurt like my past facials. Alka is by far the most caring skin professional you'll ever meet. I decided to go take my girlfriend there because of the great location and I've never been dissappointed on that decision. She loved it and asked me to go on a regular basis. Alka personalized a treatment for her and even gave us a lot of perks for being loyal customers! She did everything from extractions to oxigen peelings and electrodes. Sounds sophisticated and perhaps a little scary but I guarantee is all natural and Alka does it with so much care and dedication that it is not only pain-free but an enjoyable experience. My girlfriend felt very bad about her mild acne but Alka made her face look so smooth that she hardly touches her face on her own.\r \r Alka is not that kind of therapist that just wants to make money out of you and does not fix your problems but just gives you half a treatment and tells you to come back. She will give you honest expectations about your skin and what can be done. Alka is awesome...hands down the best skin care place in the Bay Area!! She is the first person that I have been to who has actually helped me get my skin balanced and clear. She doesn't use harsh chemicals (only natural products), and she modifies her treatments to fit her individual clients instead of just doing the same thing for everybody. I performed a Web search for ""far infrared sauna"" and up came Alka Skin Therapy. What I found when I went in was a lovely, serene salon and Alka, a practitioner who knows what she's doing, has complete services, and is gifted with unique, exceptional abilities. Her services run from the infrared sauna, to everything you ever wanted in an esthetician's repertoire, teeth whitening, and even Reiki if you ask her for it. I took advantage. She has treated my rosacea with skill: I've never been so satisfied. I've seen many estheticians for my rosacea problem and have even had Intense Pulse Light therapy, to no avail. Alka's treatment has worked! I took more advantage and have had the Ultrasonic facial, the Infusion peel, and something else, which I'll keep private. Suffice it to say, I highly recommend Alka Skin Therapy--high, high, high!--and nothing will keep me from going back. You should go see her. After reading the reviews for Alka, I decided to make an appointment. This was, by far, the most relaxing facial that I have ever experienced. The setting is quite lovely and very calming, just like Alka herself. She doesn't bother you with a lot of chatter. I found myself drfting off to sleep. My skin looked wonderful for days! I was referred to Alka by a friend & her husband who only had great things to say about her. During my first visit I consulted with Alka to find out what she thought I needed. She was great...very personable and professional. Not only did I enjoy my facial and the massage that came with it but when I looked in the mirror my skin looked amazing! After the facial she applied some mineral makeup to my skin that helped make my face and skin look radiant! I've never looked that refreshed after other facials I've recieved. Alka gives absolutely the best facial ever! It is so relaxing in her beautiful room with the lovely music to help you relax and make your cares go away. The bed is especially comfortable, too. I'm in heaven when I'm there. She is an expert in her field and takes the time to make you feel extra special. For anyone who wants to experience the ultimate in skin care and beauty with obvious results from the very first visit, Alka is the one to see. My friends tell me I look at least ten years younger. I have had a persistent rash on my face forever and a day, and over the years haven't found anything or anyone that could help. I have two teenagers, a 19 year old boy and a 15 year old girl; both have very different skin with different needs. Until I met Alka, my family depended on a Dermatologist for creams, injections and antibiotics. At one time the Dermatologist even suggested that I put my 15 year old daughter on the pill. While this treatment arrested the acne for short periods of time, I new that my children?s skin was becoming more and more resistant to the treatment prescribed. I was fortunate to meet Alka 5 years ago.The climate in Florida was quite different from what I was use to and it caused my skin routine to become non effective.
