This is my first review ever. I feel great and I felt compelled to share it. I actually went there because my girlfriend purchased a gift certificate for a massage. I didnt intend to see the chiropractor that day. But I woke up really stiff and could barely move my neck. I requested to seethe chiropractor if they could fit me in. The receptionist was pleasant and fit me in. I walked out of there felling great. I didnt realize my neck could move so well. I for sure will go back. more

Two thumbs up for the doctors and the therapist at GURU...hands down, the best massage I've had...ever. \r \r I was experiencing some back pain and required some work before my flight. I arranged a session at GURU, and I must say...it was AMAZING! I spent an hour and a half together for the therapist and the doctor, collaborating together (since this was our first session, (I gave him feedback as to ensure that I was getting exactly what I needed). You can feel the energy flow through their hands, as they use their talents from several techniques.\r \r The endstate is that I feel amazing. I felt alive and rejuvenated, due to the unquique stretching excercises we performed. I could feel the blood circulation flowing throughout places that were dormant prior to the message. And the back pain? What back pain? It was gone...I woke up the next morning just to see if it would return-and this was not the case. Although I was very impressed with my massage and adjustment, I intentionally waited a few days before I posted this review.\r \r \r GURU simply is the BEST place to get a massage. Look at the prices alone, a lot less expensive than other places that (I guarantee, regardless of how 'high end' they are) I have been to. Look around, and you will see that the prices can't be beat. This massage simply doesn't make you 'feel good"" as so many places do, but don't provide the results your looking for. Far too many places provide massage, but it's simply touch and relaxation (some things may actually help, but not everything). Get your moneys worth, get the therapy you deserve.\r \r This is therapeutic, this is health and wellness...it's your body. You know the difference between spoiling yourself vs therapy. Don't sell yourself short on this one, you'll be very pleased with the result.\r \r The business is in Culver City, with plenty of street parking (very accessible from the freeway). Book your appointment now, as they are the in works of expansion (which is a work in planning progress, planning phase). \r \r There is a reason that GURU has 5 star reviews, go...and you too will be posting the same rating!\r \r Another noteworthy mention: As I fidgeted around for my card for some time, they asked me if I would like to take care of it later...after I left. The level of trust that GURU has for their customers really impressed (and shocked) me at the same time. I can't say enough about Dr. Rubens. He is my go to guy when it come to the aches and pains I get from being just a little too old to be trying to do so much. The staff there is friendly and courteous. But I all I can say is that I trust Dr. Rubens. He explains everything in detail so that you can understand the inter relation between , bones and muscles and the connective tissues. My best testimonial to him is that I called him in the middle of the LA Marathon this year and he got on the phone and helped me work out a cramp and pulled muscle ( hamstring ) in my leg at mile 19 so that I could finish the race - another 7 miles !!! I went in with a voucher and got way more than I paid for. The staff was great and the doctor was very knowledgeable. I had a wonderful massage and my chiropactic adjustement was really what made the experience all worth it. I had a wonderful experience and will definitely go back. I feel great. more

I bought the living social deal and was worried that my experience would be subpar. I thought since i got a discount, i would be treated differently. I was pleasntly surprised. From the moment I booked my appointment, I was treated with the outmost respect. I met with the chiropractor first, which I wasnt sure what to expect, and he rocked. He sent me ove rto the massge and then I got to see the doctor again for the adjustment. The massage was really great and I ve been massage many times before and this therapist was really really really good. I m definietely going back. These guys are GURUS. more

Let me start by saying that I have never left a review for anyone. Its really not my style. I usually read reviews but I never particpate in the process. But this time I really felt I had to give my two cents.... I would give him 10 stars if I could but I'll have to settle for the max of 5 stars. Dr. rubens is terrific. He's knowledgeable, personable, and cares about his patients. I've been seeing him for about a month now. He believes that he is here to help me get better , and he assigns exercises to do as homework. I came to him because of my back pain and horrible posture. I have seen him about three times so far and Im 90% better. The last place I went to wanted to see me 3 times a week which I did for about a month and wasnt really noticing great improvement. People are actually noticing that i stand straight now. Also, can't beat the hours and location. Honestly, why would you go to anyone else? He fixed me so im sure he can fix anyone. I finally found my chiropractor and massage place in one location. This place is nice and inviting. It has a very welcoming feel. I got to be treated by both doctors on two separate occasions and they are both great. So look no further and let these gurus work their magic. They definitely helped me. I dont have these nasty migraines anymore. more

I purchased a coupon on lifebooker for an intro sesion. I was a bit reluctant about trying chiropractic but my friend told me to go and try it. She said guru chiropractic was a great place and the doctors were really nice. So off I went to my first session. I wasnt quite sure what to expect. I went because my lower back was really stiff and sore. I do yoga and I think I over did it. After one session at guru I m sold. These guys are great. I got to meet both Dr Gulick and Dr Rubens, and tehy were both really nice. I look forward to going back. These guys are my new Chiropractic gurus. Thank you more

i was walking by and I was intrigued by the name. I walked in and got seen within 30 minutes. The place was nice but the doctor rocked. I ve been adjusted before but this guy was amazing. I dont know what he did but he took his time and took great care of me. This is my new chiropractic place. more

My experience with Guru Chiropractic Center has been excellent, and I definitely would recommend it. \r \r The quality of care is high, and I've found Dr. Rubens (chiropractic) and Letti (massage therapy) professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. \r \r They are really good about walk-ins. more

So I bought a certificate online for a chiropactic and massage online. I was a bit worried about trying a new place but my chiropactor retired and i needed a new one. I expected to see some sort of Indian Guru but insead I met with a very well spoken proffesional doctor who took the time to talk to me and hear out my problem. I went in with a really stiff neck and the doctor worked miracles. Not only did I no longer have a stiff neck but I was able to move my neck to places it hasnt been in years. In just one session I felt better much much better. Dr Rubens was gentle and very professional. He has healing hands. Im for sure going back for more sessions. I was very impressed. more

These GURUS successfully cure the stiffness and pain in my neck and shoulders every time. Usually I only make an appointment when absolutely necessary (when the pain is so completely unbearable that I have no other choice), but I plan to make monthly visits from here on out. I have been to a few chiropractors over the years. None of them come close to the care I have received from Dr. Rubens. His use of chiropractic technique and massage made my recovery from a car accident happen fast than normal physical therapy. One item that comes to mind was back and leg pain that prevented me from standing longer than a couple of minutes. Dr. Rubens found the problem was located in my ankle. 3 visits later and all was well. That was 6 months ago and have not had a problem since. Aside from his skill as a doctor, he is one of the finest examples of humanity. You can see the care he has for each and every patient he sees. The office is comfortable with a kid friendly activity area. Parking is available in either the lot or on the street. more

Words you never ever expect to hear from a chiropracter: you seem to be doing pretty well, the treatments appear to have worked and I don't see a reason for you to come back, unless something hurts or you miss me. .. Expecailly after only three appointments. The last two chiropracters I tried told me how I would need to see them three times a week for several months. I have spent my whole life with a mistrust of chiropractic, but on insistance from my masseuse agreed to try to find one. Everyone at Dr. Rubens office is wonderful. Your session starts with a nice warm heat pack and then a great massage to loosen up the tight spots. He is a truly kind soul, has a ton of great advice to help you ease and avoid the pain throughout your day, and is overflowing with knowledge that I know I didn't even begin to tap with my short stint as a client. If I need to get put back in place in the future, I will be back. more

A true healer, he will never make you come for treatments that are unnecessary. I only go when there is pain, and with two or three visits, I am usually healed. more

I walked into this office out of convenience. I had a chiropractor back home in New Orleans, but I was experiencing some back pain and desperately needed an adjustment. This was the closest chiropractor office to my new appartment. Dr. Rubens squeezed me in and I feel so much better. I went ahead and treated myself to a massage while I was at it and completely enjoyed my experience! The office was beautiful and warm. I'm used to something much different. My job is hard on my body. I spend a lot of time out of alignment-bending, and straining to reach those hidden places in patients mouths. I also lift weights regularly, so my neck and shoulders are wound up in knots. My shoulders creak. My neck pops. I am a hott mess. It was truly a treat when on a rare day off I was able to schedule all my random annual exams and MD visits. I got to meet Dr. Rubens & Dr Gulick and WOW did they make a huge difference. They worked out the knots and performed some effective stretching and adjustment techniques. they also has a warm bedside manner.They thoroughly explained each step of the process and gave me a few exercises to perform at home. They are sweethearts -:) During my visit there was a new staff member being trained. so the checkout process was just a little slow, but no worries. She was very nice and took her time to double check all paperwork had been signed and reviewed. I'm sure next time things will run much smoother. I'm making a conscious effort to set aside more ""me-time"" and GURU Chiropractic is a great stepping stone towards a healthier body. . . . more
