Still good... 6/13/2008

I dont know what these people are talking about I have been going to Alfonso's for probably about 3 or 4 years now and I think they are great. The pizza is great New York style, the wings are always cooked perfectly and with good wing sauce and good atmosphere. The prices have gone up a little but every pizza place has so they are still comparable. If you want cheap go to Hungry Howies. Pros: The white spinach pizza is sooo good. more

New Owners, Bad Changes. 10/25/2006

Recently, Alfonso's Pizza & More was sold, and bought by the owner of the Anthony's Pizza chain here in Orlando. With Anthony's aside, the changes they have made to Alfonso's are noteworthy-- but not in a good way. Pros: Service, Drinks Cons: Food, Pizza, Cleanliness more

great little neighborhood pizza joint 6/9/2006

The service was fabulous! Our server, Rochelle, was top notch, friendly, attentive (but not too attentive). The atmosphere was light and neighborly. Lots of regulars in this place told me all I needed to know about the quality of food and service here. The pizza was fresh and tasty. The menu is extensive and has a little bit of everything from subs to pizza to pasta. Pros: attitude, service more

Bad Service 2/3/2006

We have been long time customers and because they have brought in new people that didn't know us we were treated like no one's. When you have spent so much time in one splace to eat to be told to get out because you wanted to talk to a manager regarding service that is wrong. Waiting for a servers is at least a 30 min. wait. Food is not bad but waiting to get serves sucks.Had a total of 20 people in the restaurant no reason for bad sevice, will call owners on Monday! more

New York Thin Crust 6/6/2005

Bad! Don't waste your time. We are from Connecticut where here is good pizza on most every block. We're on a quest to find THE best pizza in Central FL! Recommend by a food critic and it was NOT GOOD. Service was fine. Pizza was fresh, greasy and pretty much on a cracker. I NEVER saw a pizza like that in New England. The garlic rolls were ok, though they needed to be warmed more. I doubt they made them there, since they tasted good and their pizza crust tasted like nothing. Pros: Fast Service Cons: Greasy Pizza, Tasteless Crust more

They used to have great Pizza. 5/16/2005

Alfonso's used to be my favorite pizza place. However, when they started expanding I believe they started cutting corners. I always get a pepperoni, mushroom, italian sausage. One time I ordered it, and when I got home it looked like it had bacon instead of italian sausage. The next time I ordered, I checked it before I left and again it looked like bacon. I asked and was told it was ground sausage. I told them that it made it taste like bacon, not sausage and asked if they have sliced sausage like I used to get and they said no. I started noting the amount of other toppings seemed a little scarce too. Last time I ordered they were still grinding sausage. That's ok, I'll go to _____. (It's that little place in Winter Park and I haven't been disappointed yet.) Pros: Veggie Bread, Garlic Knots, Good service. Cons: ground toppings, too crowded, too noisy more

Best Italian Dishes 7/7/2004

Whats more to say,, Alfonso's Pizza/Italian Restaurant on Edgewater Dr in College Pk, Orlando has the best pizza and makes the very best Italian dishes,,, quality ingredients cooked just right,, excellent ""Italian Gravy"" (sauce) and understands what Al Daunte means.. If your like me an Italian food lover from the North East (NY/New Jersey etc) and have been a little disappointed trying to find a good Italian pasta dish and/or pizza, then try Alfonso's in College Pk.. The best I found. As good as Little Italy NYC... Very good pasta and gravy dishes... Have Fun.... more

Best Pizza 7/5/2002

My family loves Alfonso's. We drive by at least 3 other pizza places to go there. Why? Great pizza, of course! The freshest ingredients and special home made crust and sauce are outstanding. The Sentinel has voted them Best Pizza in Orlando. Staff is always friendly. Try the Family Special -- a large pie, salad (get the house dressing), an order of fresh hot garlic rolls, and 2 liters of soda for about $17. It's a deal! more
