YO, Aldersgate is a great place to meet! It is beautiful and the staff, food and lodging are wonderful. Pros: Beautiful Location, Great Food and Staff. Nice Lodging Cons: They do not have a milkshake machine. more

Not intended for non religious retreats 3/9/2007

Although the staff are friendly and the grounds are pretty, this middle of nowhere conference center is not for those from the secular world. There is Christain iconology everywhere (including a sign over the front conference hall that states, ""Christ is the unseen guest in this house""). The rooms are small, the beds are uncomfortable and the food is nauseating. The ""playground"" outside is dangerous and contains seesaws and merry go rounds that were barred from normal playgrounds years ago. Honestly, the whole experience was rather frightening and we all felt like we were being sequestered to join a cult. Pros: Pretty nice scenery. Cons: Everything else. more
